Wendy (fl best friend from high school): 30yrs. Loves Mandy (fl), currently the CEO of WM company, the third richest company.

Mandy’s POV

Mandy was caught off guard and was searching for who it was that recognised her among the crowd. Wendy! She exclaimed. They left the crowd and settled in the hall as she was drawing soo much attention. I thought you wouldn’t recognise me in my new look!

Wendy’s POV

My dear, who can ever forget the only ginger redhead we had in our school and historically speaking, you’re the only redhead the school has ever had since it was founded twenty years ago! You should feel proud of this achievement, Wendy said mockingly.

Talking over phone felt nothing like talking to someone in person, they forgot their surroundings and began to catch up on all they missed out on in each other’s lives. The hall became crowded and everyone was rushing to talk to Mandy but since she didn’t want hypocrites in her life, she and Wendy just smiled politely and excused themselves to the farthest part of the hall where there were few people.

Just then Quincy had just escaped from he’s funs and bumped into the two ladies.

POV of Quincy

Damn! I had prepared well for this day, practicing over how I’ll present myself, topics to discuss during our conversation so I don’t sound boring, gestures to use so I don’t offend her or so she doesn’t feel offended........ and here I am stunned by her beauty that I can’t remember a single thing! I opened my mouth to talk, nothing came out! I felt like I was paralysed. I have never had this sort of experience before!

I stood there staring with my mouth opened for almost ten minutes till I heard Mandy asking Wendy if she knew me. I quickly recollected myself and I began introducing myself as the new president of our alumni batch and that I was the one that invited both of them because I had wanted to see them. They both looked at me in confusion. I did that on purpose, I knew that if I tell them my name they wouldn’t even give me the opportunity to even say hi.

Seeing their confused faces I thought it was time I told them my name and why I invited them. As soon as I opened my mouth to talk, my ex from high school just blurted out my name, « QUINCY! ». The look on Mandy and Wendy‘s faces could have caused a plane to crash.

Mandy’s POV

Did that girl just spouted out QUINCY! I think I heard it right. I can’t tell how my face looked like but all I knew was that I wanted to get out of his presence. Then again, why couldn’t I tell he was Quincy. Wow this guy in front of me looks nothing like the bully back in high school. This person in my presence looks so handsome you’ll think the creator purposely took his time to sculpture him. I was soo shocked that I didn’t even feel Wendy’s tug on my hand.

Wendy’s POV

I knew what Mandy went through in this devil’s hands, I know my girl has changed and she could probably beat him but I still need to protect my bestie. I couldn’t read Mandy’s expression then but I could tell one thing for sure was that she wanted to get out of there so I yanked her hard and excused ourselves to leave. We got the answer we were looking for but as to why he invited us we were still clueless and it didn’t look like we were going to stay to hear the history of it.
