The New World That I Could See

Mada open his eyes as the fresh breath of mountain slide on his face gently. Around him, he noticed the wet green grasses that long enough to touch his ankle. Something he rarely sees before. Mada then took a deep breath, smiling wide with his eyes filled by glitters of light and enjoyment.

[Entering The Land of Man] the voice of Freiya hit him again.

“Fantastic!” Mada laugh looking at the clear wide sky above his head.

Mada jumps around, waving his hand and feet while punching the air. Then he opens both his palm and tries to feels his face.

“My legs, I can feel my legs!” he says smiling wide.

“Uhm... Freiya, are you there?” he ask.

“Can I see my face?”

A small box then suddenly appears in front of him. Showing a familiar look that he saw on the small mirror he got on his room. Sun burning eyes and a dark skin with a touch of light followed by long enough hair that touches his shoulders. On his body, a dark iron plate protects his chest with a large black and blue torso covering his legs. While his hands and legs wrapped with black leather gloves and shoes.

Mada then move around a little bit again. Walking and jumping, then punch and kick the air to remember his training. While he moves his body, from the side of his eye, Mada capture a glittering light that flying on the end of the land, and the smells of freshness that he had not experienced for a while. Mada then turn his body, jump a few times and then run as fast as he could toward it. However, his body moving too fast that he himself surprised by it then hit the ground with his chin.

Mada rolls on his back, as small amount of blood dripping to the ground.

“Shit, that was hurt. Why does it feel so real?” Mada says scrubbing his chin.

[Auto recovery] says Freiya the same time as the bruises erased from Mada face.

“Wow that feels better. Thanks Freiya” says Adam.

Then, from far away, a loud long cry suddenly reaches Adam’s ears.

“Help, capture her, capture her young man!” Yell an old man chasing a girl that run toward Mada.

Suddenly, a flying kick appears right in front of Mada face. Yet with ease he moves his body to the side avoiding it. Then duck himself then swipe the girl back leg hard, make her hit the ground with her head.

“What was that for? Mada says.

The girl looks at Mada with piercing eyes. Her diamond blue eyes stab right into Mada as she grinding her teeth looking at him. Like a silver fox, her long hair reflect the light of the sun and long enough to touch the ground. Her skin is pale and her ears are split in two like the feather on an arrow. Wearing a brown sack that covers her chest to her tight yet let the rest open. But the one thing that pulls Mada eyes is the red rose that stuck all over her body, from her neck to her feet.

The girl then stands again trying to run back, but Mada hold her hands tight making sure she is not leaving.

“Are you stealing something?” says Mada.

Yet, catching him off guard, the girl suddenly jumps right into Mada and bury her teeth right at Mada’s shoulder. Surprised by the pain, Mada yell really loud and push her face away. Then slam her to the ground.

“What the hell was that?!” says Mada.

The girl then laughs at him, showing her two fangs that cover by blood. Suddenly, the blood that comes out of Mada’s shoulders float around him and move fast trying to stab his face. But Mada stop it with both his hand as the blood penetrating his palm.

“Shit!” says Mada and then punches the girl on the face and holds her on the ground.

“Thank you young man, please cover your wound. Don’t let her to see it” says the old man that finally reach them, giving Mada a piece torn clothes.

“Don’t worry, it’s already healed” says Mada as Freiya healing his wounds.

Surprised by that, the old man smiles as he grabs his hat which similar to the shapes of onion.

“Ah you are outlander. Thank you so much for helping me” The old man says taking his hat off, showing his bald head which filled by a black metal that share the same look with the one he use.

“This woman has killed seven of my sheeps. She is belonging to Garuda guild. May I take it from here?” says the old man.

“Are you sure? She could kill you” says Mada as the girl keep grunting and yelling on a language he did not understand.

“Do not worry” says the old man opening a box as big as his palm.

Suddenly, four long blue creatures that Mada have never seen before squirmed out of those box. Without an eye and similar to a snakes, they then fly toward the girl with their ears as a wings. Keep flicking their tongue until they finally found the girl. Mada then move his hands as the blue snake wrapping the girl from her neck to her waist.

“Thank you. Here as my gratitude. I am sorry this is all I can give” says the old man taking a rose petal from the girl neck which makes her suddenly yells in pain again.

“Ah, don’t worry, she attack me in the first place. Is she okay?” says Adam looking at the girl that yelling in pain after the old man take the rose.

“Ah, she is okay. What is your name?”

“Mada”

“Mada, visit me at Garuda guild anytime you need help” the old man smiling as he put the rose petal on Adam’s hand.

[You are entering Toba Lake]

The voice of Freya echoed inside of Mada’s head as he reaches the glittering light that he was looking before. In the front of him, clear water crystal spread wide across the horizon with dozens of people fishing and swimming on it. However right in the middle of the lake, a gigantic shadow appear to blocks some of the sun light from reaching the lake.

Mada eyes then move toward the sky trying to reach beyond the cloud. Surprise by it, Mada face frozen in a shook as his eyes catch a gigantic island, twice as big as its shadow float and rotate very slowly in the sky. A collection of giant piles of stones covered in moss and trees, which arranged perfectly to build a hundred cities above it. Right in the centre of it, a huge hole made by thousands of small waterfalls fell into the lake while from the outside; a gigantic golden root wrapped around it as some of them hanging long enough to touch the water under it, and the other is big enough to have a river that flows on it; with the entire root grows many kind of flower with many colours.

Then Mada eyes locked into the thousands of big carving face on the stone that orbiting around the floating island. Those stone carved with faces and emotions which some of waterfalls coming out of it and fell right into the lake under it. Some of it comes from the eyes, and other come from the mouth, nose or ears, with smaller golden root wrapped it tight.

Mada fall on his back, smiling and laughing from disbelieve. Then after a few moments, decided to jump to the lake in front of him. Cause a big splash which goes all over the place.

“Do you enjoying your time?” says a man yelling to Mada who’s still swimming on the lake.

Mada wipe his face with his hand, then swimming back to the land with incredible speed. Frighten all creatures that swim under him.

“Noah?” says Mada as he reaches the land.

“You seem able to adapt really fast. Call me Gilgamesh here. The Epic of Gilgamesh!” he smiles.

His chest, arms and feet, covered with small white plates which have the face of an eagle carving on it. While his leg covered with brown fabric which seems warmer than long dark cloak that hanging from his shoulders. Under his belt, two daggers are hanging on each side of his thigh, sticking out a little from his cloak. With eyes and hair that burn red like leaf in autumn, his smile and voice still fall in the same places as Mada remember.

“You look pretty intimidating” says Mada reaching Gilgamesh hands to get out of the lake.

“Wait until you see my other armours” Gilgamesh smile.

“Have you checked the surrounding?” says Gilgamesh pulling Mada out.

“Not yet, this place is incredible. It’s almost out of my imagination. This land and lake, then that city around the cloud, just astonishing!” says Mada as he can’t stop smiling.

“And that city, it looks almost similar with-“

“An, yes. You saw it before the accident right?”

“Yeah, even though the one I saw look much smaller than that and does not have the trees, river, waterfall or golden root”

“Haha, you will get to see and understand more. So you ready?”

“Not yet. Now tell me about the plan”

“So, tell me about the plan”

“Ah I almost forgot about that, let sit down for a while” Gilgamesh says while pulling his pants.

“Let me introduce myself and this place to you first”

“In here my name is Gilgamesh and I use dagger skill because it suit my style, and I am a mercenary that fight for money or items”

“And you?”

“Ah I use Mada as my name”

“Wow, that general?”

“Yes”.

“Okay, Mada, let’s use our name depends on the world we in”

“So, this place, or this world if you want to call it that way, divided by one planet and six moons. Each moon has each own race. You and I are in one of the moon that called Humanoid moon”

“Because we humanoid?”

“Exactly”

“That’s pretty simple” says Mada.

“Right, so on this moon, there are seven big islands, and the main island is that!” says Gilgamesh pointing to the island on the sky.

“Okay” says Mada.

“From here, it might be a little bit complicated to you but please listen carefully”

“Come on, I’m not that stupid”

“I hope so” say Gilgamesh.

“So, that island is also divided into five big cities which each of the cities belongs to five royalties of this moon, and four of them can be taken with force” says Gilgamesh showing his dark dagger with the face of a woman printed on it.

“And today, we going to attack one of those city” he says as he start to draws map on the ground.

“This is the rough look of the Sky City or Garden of The Gods as we call it here. This part of the city is our target. Our goal is to sneak to the city in the middle of the war and kill their guild master”

“Kill? Killing a person?”

“Yes, but don’t worry, even though its hurt and feel super real but it won’t kill them in real life. As long as they don’t die to many times”

“What happen if you die too many times?”

“Well some of them become crazy, some losing their mind and some can’t talk again, but you don’t have to worry. I am here to help you”

“Shit! You should have told me that before”

“I said don’t worry. The only things that will happen to your body right now if you die is a red mark that appears whenever you get cut or burn or shoot. It will take more than you think”

“It still makes me worried”

“We have a goal here remember?”

“You are right. Okay then, tell me about the target?”

“Her name is Anna, a five stars diver. The guild master of Majapahit. I want you to kill her and take a burning flower that comes out on the ground after you cut her head. Remember, cut the head!” says Gilgamesh making an invisible line with his thumb on his neck.

“And then what?”

“Then you could leave it to me” says Gilgamesh.

“I see”

“Your gears and your weapons, everything okay?”

“I think, I like this gloves but I am not sure if I can cut a head with it”

“Well you could just twist her head, or we could get you some weapon on the city. You know how to use dagger or sword?”

“I am a mix martial art world champion, twice. Of course I know” says Mada.

“Hahaha I am sorry. Have you tried any skills?”

“Skills? I don’t see any skills”

“Ah that old man, he must have given you a zero start account. But don’t worry, with your fighting skills, you won’t need those things. Say Gilgamesh as he standing.

“You know, every time you said ‘don’t worry’ it actually makes me more worried” answer Mada.

“Well, nothing we can do right now except dealing with the situation” says Gilgamesh

“I guess so” says Mada.

“Now let’s get into that floating city”
