TESLA

"Hello young man" an old man greet Adam as he slowly open his eyes.

Adam looks at the old man, squint his eyes trying to capture the look of a man that covered in silhouette under the sun.

"Must have been sickening to keep waking up in hospital right? But I bet, not as much as how I feel looking at you right now" the old man continue moving his head closer to Adam.

He sits beside Adam's bed, with brown fancy cane where he resting his hands. His head cover in white with a gentle moustache decorating the bottom of his nose. His hands wrapped in black gloves and himself with purple suit to perfecting the looks.

"Yet, here I am, comprehends the situation as I should be; and since you will stay here for a while. I wish you could do the same" he says while tilting his head looking at Adam and placing his hand on Adam's cheek gently.

"Who are you?" says Adam as the old man back to his chair while fixing his monocle with his palm.

"I am a man who his heart you just broke in pieces. A father to someone who his future you just took, and a god to people that just executed justice upon you" the man put his hand on Adam's knee.

"You took one from us, we took everything from you" he says while pulling the blanket that covers Adam's leg.

Adam look at him for a moment before realizing what happened. His hand moves slowly from his tight to the knee, and then stopped itself. His eyes wide open and his teeth grinding unstoppable, making squeezing noises before it exploded into a high scream that give satisfaction look on the old man eyes.

"HAHAHAHA!

"Good; good! That is what I am looking for!" he smiles.

Adam's hand flew fast, grabbing the old man suit and pull him to his face, however, a cold iron bar suddenly touch his head from behind. Adam moves his eyes to two men in the dark suit cover in mask holding a gun toward his skull.

"Yes! That's it! Yet, don't get too explosive now" says the old man.

"Because there are a lot of things to get mad at and I am afraid you might not have enough energy to do it later, like your mother and grandfather situation" he continues.

The both look at each other until Adam opens his grip, looking at the old man with his eyes and mouth open. After taking a deep breath, Adam put his hand away, but keep his sharp eyes on the man wrinkled face.

"What did you do?"

"A lot of things, but the real question is what I want from you"

"Where is my family?"

"They are in my care; don't worry about that. Now ask me the right question"

"How do I know you telling the truth?"

"You started to get into nerve, ask me the right question" the old man smile.

Adam look at him for a moment, threatening him with his sharp look.

"What do you want?" Adam says.

"Thank you! I want you to work for me. For you to fix all the mess you have done to my life, to my family!"

"Work? You took my legs! What could I do without it?" Adam says.

"Oh I could chop both of your arms now and you still have a lot of things to do for me, so here is the deal. You do what I ask, and I will let your family free, with you of course"

Adam took a long silence before opening his mouth again.

"What work?" ask Adam.

"First, do we have an agreement?"

"Do I have a choice?"

"No"

Adam look at the old man again for a few second.

"I need to see them first"

"Good, not a problem. Now to the main point of the story" says the old man clapping his hand.

"I wonder if you familiar with Tesla invention"

"Sixteen years ago, man names Tesla walk into the middle of the street waving his hand to the horse and the people.

"I found a new world and make a gate to visit it.

There you can be a king unless you want to be a soldiers,

"He said it out loud that we were laughing at him and call him crazy. But then in the ten minutes and sixteen seconds later, he make tomorrow's morning news paper put his name above the emperor's daughter weeding. He single handedly put himself above the world. You know why?"

"Because from that world, he brings something no one ever seen before"

"A lamp! A glass that capture the light!" said the old man moving his face closer to Adam.

"And then a talking box, and a-!"

"Like a radio?" Adam suddenly cut the conversation.

"Yes! You heard that before?"

"You had one? Interesting; never I would imagine someone from that shit hole pit have something like that on their hands"

"Anyway, his invention is a road for every possibility and every magic, including healing my sons"

"You want me to find something to heal your son?"

"No. I want you to kill someone and took the knowledge to heal my son. With your skills, you might have the ability to get it. Then as a reward, I will heal your legs too"

"Not in real life but in the world that Tesla found"

"Then what is the point to save you?"

"One day" the old man waving his hands

"You will get the detail soon, from this boy whom will assist you there. Come in" the old man waving his hand.

"Adam! Thanks god you are still alive!" a man with younger look rushing toward Adam with snot coming out his nose.

"Noah!" Adam yells embracing him as he jump toward Adam.

"I thought you were dead" Noah crying on Adam's lap.

"They really took your legs? How could you did this to my brother, you piece of shit!" Noah looks at the middle age man.

"Hm..." says the middle age man waving his hand toward his man as they put their gun on Noah's head.

"How are your mother and grandpa?" Noah continues.

"I am not sure yet, but he says they are save"

"My father will help us, don't worry" Noah says.

"So, can we start it? My son is not very patient guy, just like his father" the old man cut their conversation.

"Not until I saw my family" says Adam.

"Alright then, let's get you some chair to roll"

"Gate of dreams, that's what they called it, but to be honest, I prefer The Mushroom" says Noah showing two pieces of black metal on his palm to Adam.

"It does looks like a mushroom, so how does it work?" says Adam.

"It's simple, you only need to put this two pieces of blocks on your temple, like this" says Noah sticking the blocks on Adams head.

"And like a magnet, they will stuck there until you take it off"

"Okay, what's next?" says Adam.

"Wait until you get electrocuted"

"Wait what!"

"It won't hurt you. It Just gonna be like, you know that weird sensation when we eat that mushroom you got from your mother bed?"

"Aha, you still remember that?"

"Of course I did, you make me eat a full hands of worm after that. Anyone will get traumatized after that."

"Yeah that was a great day" Adam smile again for the first time.

"For you" says Noah,

"So, are you going to tell me the reason you get into this mess?" says Adam.

"Well, a lot of things happen since you went into coma?"

"Coma?!"

"Yes! That fucker also hit you with the crowbar in the head"

"That explain why I felt so dizzy"

"Nah, I think it's because the one that electrocuted your head right now" says Noah smirking.

"Ah, Noah and his joke" says Adam.

"Hahaha! Anyway, that old man was one of my father partners. He helps him to build his empire inside Tesla's world until a little girl with mental issues took it from him"

"Interesting" Adam smile.

"Then two days after he took you, he called my father again, told him that he looking for a medicine for his boy and need assistant, but my father think you need me so that is why I am here"

"So you know how to get it?"

"Exactly! I've been working with my father, in and out this world every day. I ask you before didn't I? But you said I don't have time to playing game" says Noah pursed his lips.

"Seems like I got forced to do it after all"

"Yet I wish not in this circumstance" says Noah tightening his grip on his arm.

"Are you sure your mother and grandpa safe?" he continue.

"Yeah, we talked a little bit. A lot of tears, but it seems this is the only way out. For someone that coming from an abyss, crawling to the light is your only way out"

"I wish I have the power to destroying all of that nonsense" says Noah.

"You still feel the same. That's more than enough" says Adam.

Then, a sudden silence fills room.

"So you know where to get the medicine right?" ask Adam.

"Yes, I know exactly where to get it. The question is, can we take it?"

"We have a full day"

"This one might take more than that"

"Give me the name"

"I will once we enter the world. You will see it in great detail"

"Hm..." Adam clenches his jaw.

"By the way, you know Eve was coming before, but she have to run back because I think she got something new on her lab"

"She says it's been years since we see each others, and every time I saw him, he went to coma!" says Noah mimicking Eve voice.

"She pissed huh?" Adam smirk.

"I guess" says Noah smirking back.

"It is better not to see her yet. After all it would be only trouble if she comes here" says Adam.

"Hahaha, that's right. So, have you felt anything yet?" says Noah frowning.

"No. Not really. Are you sure you put this right?" says Adam.

"Yeah, but I'm sure there should be some light" says Noah moving toward Adam's head.

"Ah I put it in reverse" says Noah.

"Yeah, Noah and his stupidity" says Adam.

"Now it's on. Well I'll see you right there okay?" says Noah as a light resembles a screen coming out covering Adam's eyes.

"God!" says Adam surprised as the block electrocute him.

"Hahaha I also had the same face"

"Everything have been set for you, just say okay and I'll explain everything later" says Noah as he leave the room.

"Where do you go?" yell Adam.

"Get my gear on too, I'll see you soon" say Noah passing two man in a dark robe.

Adam rests his body on the bed with his eyes wide open, when suddenly millions of needle lights from the device slowly penetrating his vision. Then as the electrical charge started to electrocute his brain, like a whirlpool, the room started to circling fast around him and slowly changing into white abyss.

"Hm... now I know why he called it the Mushroom" says Adam to himself.
