Episode 4- Dangerous attraction

he digital clock woke up at eight in the morning, and Shawn didn't get up right away. He stayed a little longer in bed, thinking about his appointments that day. He had a recording of the cd at ten o'clock, an interview for a local magazine at noon, a photo shoot at one o'clock, and then he would take a break for lunch, and return to the studio to work on the cd for a while longer, and finally have Brian's father's party for the rest of the night.

Of all of them, the appointment he least liked was Mr. Michael Fox's dinner. He was fed up with this type of event, where he would only appear wearing clothes of the company's brand that had hired him, take many photos, and then circulate around the party, sometimes being presented to businessmen who would invest in the brand, or just drinking and eating a little of the food offered.

What he really liked was to sing, to have contact with his fans, because it was only for them that he continued in that extremely boring world, where what counted was only the money, the publicity, the influence.

- Little Shawn. Your mother asked me to see if you're ready. Your father is waiting for you so that you can go to the studio together. - Shawn smiled when he heard Maria call him by his childhood nickname. She had worked for them since Shawn was three years old\, and even now that he was twenty-one and famous\, she continued to treat him the same way\, and that was what she loved most about her..

- Tell her I'll be ready in five minutes\, Maria. - he answered.

- All right\, but don't be long. You know your father hates delays.

Shaw got up and dressed quickly. He put on black jeans, a white T-shirt, put on a leather jacket, and finally put on black sneakers. He didn't pay much attention to his appearance, it was an irrelevant item for him. He wore what he liked and what he wanted, he didn't follow any fashion. But like it or not, it seemed he was always right, as he was pointed by the covers of the most famous magazines in the world, as one of the most stylish singers of the moment, which to him was pure bullshit.

Shawn sat down at the table to have breakfast with his parents, and he missed the younger sister he hadn't seen since the day before.

- Where is Aaliyah? - he asked his mother.

- She traveled with some friends to the beach. - his mother replied.

- Don't you think you are giving this girl too much freedom? She's only sixteen\, and she's too young to travel with friends\, don't you think?

- Shawn\, sometimes I think you're older than your father. When are you going to stop being so jealous and possessive of your sister? I think it's time to get a girlfriend and transmit all this overprotection to her. - Mrs. Mendes said looking at him.

- It's not possessiveness\, Mom. It's careful. - he said\, taking a sip of his orange juice\, and totally ignoring the part of the girlfriend approached by his mother.

- Your mother is right. - his father said. - You need to find someone to share your life with. How long has it been since you've dated?

- Dad\, you're going to start talking about it too. I don't need a girlfriend. - Shawn said\, pretending to be interested in the pancake that was on his plate.

- Of course you do. - his mother insisted. - Do you think I don't know how many girls you go out with when you're not involved in your tours? And I don't know from the tabloids\, I have my own sources. Some of my friends have amazing daughters. I could introduce you to some of them sometime.

- Mom\, will you stop it? When I want a girlfriend I'll look for one myself. - Shawn said\, interrupting that conversation that was already starting to bother him. His mother's mania for being a matchmaker made him deeply angry. She had had problems with it in the past and he didn't want to repeat that.

- Darling\, I only want to help. – his mother insisted.

- Let's put it off until later\, okay? I have to go. - Shawn ended the conversation before he was rude to his mother. He took the last sip of his juice\, got up\, kissed her on the cheek and left accompanied by his father.

They went to work on their own car, and Shawn fulfilled all his commitments until lunchtime. He stopped at the Weekend to eat his usual hamburger with pineapple juice. He sat down at the table that he was used to staying every day and called a waitress to see him, while he put on his headset and listened to Ed Sheeran's Photograph.

He didn't pay much attention to the girl who came to see him, so he didn't bother to look at her when he make his order, but suddenly, she moved and the scent of the woody colony that had caught his attention the other day, came to his nostrils, causing him to look at her at the same instant. The girl wore a discreet navy blue dress that hid all her curves, her hair was gathered in a ponytail, and she kept her face serious, almost inexpressive as she took his order. Shawn looked at the badge that had her name on it, and read it repeating it out loud without noticing it.

- Rosely - not being able to pronounce the "a" with which her name was written. Then she lifted her eyes\, thinking he'd asked for something else and Shawn was delighted. She owned the most beautiful greenish brown eyes he'd ever seen. Her face was delicate\, her nose snatched\, her lips pink and fleshy\, and the most amazing thing was that she had freckles\, and Shawn loved freckles\, but he didn't often see them on the girls out there. He felt a strange excitement as he looked at her and felt his heart miss a beat. The girl turned her back on him the minute he said he didn't want anything else but the juice and hamburger. He stared at her as she walked away\, feeling like a complete idiot wishing for a girl he barely knew. His mother was right\, she needed a girlfriend urgently.

But as the thought came to his head, it disappeared, ending in boredom. He concentrated more on the music he heard, completely forgetting about the waitress. She came back minutes later with his order, put everything on the table, and turned again to go out, but the problem was that she got in the way and ended up tripping over the table. Shawn was faster, got up and held her by her wrist before she fell. Without thinking of it, with his sudden movement, he brought her up to his chest and held her by the waist with his free hand. Her perfume was even more delicious up close, and Shawn found himself wondering what it would be like to have her even closer. She thanked him for his gesture, and since he didn't let her go immediately, she said

- I think you can let me go now. Only then did he realize that he was holding her too long.

- I'm sorry\," he said\, smiling lightly at her\, but the girl just didn't return it\, and went to see another client\, leaving him completely disconcerted. Shawn continued to watch her while she worked\, as he couldn't take his eyes off her. Rosely\, he repeated the name he saw written on his badge\, then he shook his head\, thinking he was going crazy\, then he got up\, paid the bill and went to the studio where he would end the day working\, before getting dressed to go to that damn party. From time to time greenish-brown eyes invaded his thoughts\, but he tried not to think about them anymore. He didn't want to get involved with anyone\, because he knew exactly how it would end\, and in the end he would discover that she was just like all the others.
