Donnica's POV:
After helping Kloe and I with the chores, the twins volunteered to accompany me to the grocery store.
They were of great help to us every single time. Yes they were a pain in the neck most of the time, but sure knew how to please everyone at home when they wanted to.
I'd parked my car out of the property and on the other side of the gate.
We left the house and when I stepped out of the gate, I saw the only neighbor we had two blocks away, Mr Mariano.
A grumpy sixty year old and successful business man. He was going for a run that late morning.
"Hello Mr Mariano!" I greeted with a smile. And just as expected, he looked at me but didn't answer.
He then noticed the twins and that made him frown even more. I knew he disliked my kids and they sure disliked him too. They'd broken his car windows more than once and so I understood his dislike. Thing is, he'd deserved it for almost running over Alejandro once and calling Lorenzo a 'curse'. He said a lot of things he should not say and he didn't care about the impact his words could have.
And so yes, when the twins came up with mischievous plans to annoy him, Anthonio and I let them.
The grumpy man jogged down the block till he disappeared.
"Old faggot." Lorenzo said, shocking me and making his brother laugh.
"Lorenzo I told you to watch your mouth when around me. That isn't nice." I said, though it Amused me on the inside.
"Sorry mama. But we all know you were thinking it." He chuckled and both entered the car.
"Yes. But I didn't say it." I mused and they laughed. I chuckled and joined them in the car.

Once through with the supermarket and grocery store, I took the twins to a café where we took an outdoor table and I ordered cupcakes and pancakes for everyone.
While we waited for the order, I decided to tell them what their grandmother had decided.
"So I spoke to your grandma about this issue of sending you to separate schools and in separate cities..."
"Yes? What did she say?" Lorenzo asked.
"I explained to her..." I cut my sentence, noticing Alejandro wasn't even on the same planet we were. He was busy staring in the direction of another table occupied by a group a girls.
"...I'm listening." Lorenzo said casually, bringing my attention back to him.
It was always the same thing. Sometimes it would be Lorenzo and sometimes it would be Alejandro being distracted by girls while I or any other family member spoke to them.
"Alejandro?" I called with an exasperated sigh.
He turned to me and smiled apologetically.
"I'm sorry mama. You were saying?"
I rolled my eyes and went on.
"She didn't want to understand at first but then I explained that it was either both of you, or nothing. Your decision. You didn't want to be apart."
"How did she react?" Alejandro asked. I smiled at them.
"She was okay with it."
I watched their faces brightened as they smiled happily.
"This is great! And it's thanks to you."
The got up and came to my side of the table, both hugging me.
"Thanks mom."
"You're welcome. But you're gonna have to call your grandmother and thank her too because she finally accepted what she hadn't planned for."
"Sure thing!" They kissed my cheeks and returned to their seats.
"So just make sure you graduate with grades good enough."
"Of course. You can count on us."
"Alright." I smiled at them and they smiled back. They were my world and I loved to see them happy.

Kloe's POV:
I made my way to the living room, quite angry.
Leandro sat there, manipulating his phone.
"Look at this." I threw the school letter on him.
"What is it?"
"A letter from your daughter's school written by the principal that had requested to see me last Wednesday. We're Saturday today."
Leandro opened the letter and I watched him read it.
"Okay. But why did he request to see you?" He asked.
"I received a voicemail yesterday morning but I ignored it. I listened to it this morning instead. Here..." I played it.
"Hello Mrs Enrique. I've been awaiting your presence in school since Wednesday but you never showed up. I gave a letter to Noemi to give it to any parent and she said you had both travelled. She disrespected a member of our staff and I hope to see you Monday. Have a good day."
"And so..." I went on, angrily "...I called back and pleaded that he tell me on phone what she did. And guess what?"
"What?"
"Your daughter insulted a female teacher. Calling her a Bitch."
Leandro's eyes widened.
"Are you serious??" He asked in disbelief.
"Yes. He wants us in his office first thing Monday. For sure she's going to be suspended again Leandro! This is the third fricken time! I searched her bag after the call and finally found the letter. This means she's not been going to school since Wednesday. Who knows where she has been going to in the name of school since then!"
At that moment, Noemi was passing by and I called her immediately.
Clearly seeing the expression I had on, her countenance changed. She looked even more pale when she saw the letter in Leandro's hand.
"Get your *** here before I lose it on you." I stated sternly and she slowly approached us.
"What's this??" I seized the letter and showed it to her
"I was having a peaceful morning until I listened to the voicemail your principal left on my damned phone!"
"Wait wait wait..." Leandro said slowly, standing and trying to calm me "...I don't think she said it. I mean look at that innocent face..."
"Boy shut up!" I retorted, pushing him away. It always the same thing with Leandro. Always defending his princess. It wasn't a bad thing but he had to know when to do it.
"Did you call your teacher a bitch, Lèaina??" I asked her.
She kept intermingling her fingers, clearly nervous.
"Did you???" I repeated "I don't wanna repeat it again Noemi."
She shook her head no and I couldn't believe it.
"You're lying??"
She stepped back and Leandro immediately wrapped his arms around me so I wouldn't go to her.
"Kloe let me take it from here." He said calmly and I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath and accepting his offer.
"Alright..." I sighed and sat down.
He then turned to our daughter.
"Sweetheart is it true you called your teacher a bitch?" He asked softly.
"...y...yes..." She stammered.
"Why?"
"...just...just like that. I...I don't like her. I know what I did was stupid and I'm sorry and ready to face the consequences...I'll apologise to her on Monday..."
"Good." Leandro kissed her forehead and she looked at me, clearly remorseful.
"I'm sorry for trying to lie mummy..." She apologized and I tried to fight but she melted my heart every single time. Yet, unlike Leandro, I knew when to be strict.
"Fine. We'll go to your school on Monday. And you're grounded till I decide when it's over. To your room." I told her calmly.
She looked at her father.
"Do what your mother said dear."
She looked at me one last time before leaving.
"This is the third time. I just hope the principal doesn't decide to dismiss her for good. Because for sure, She'll be suspended. Again." I muttered.
"She won't be dismissed baby..." Leandro replied with a chuckle, coming over to massage my shoulders but I shifted.
"Don't touch me...I'm still not happy with you."
He chuckled again and lowered his head to kiss my neck.
"I'm sorry. You know you can't stay angry at me forever..." He murmured, kissing his way along the side of my cheek to my lips.
And of course I gave in unintentionally, allowing him to kiss me as sweetly as usual.
He just knew my soft spot.
