It had been three days since that incident, and I was back at it, laying on my bed, my side was still hurting, but I couldn't just lay here for the next twenty days! So instead, I decided to get up and investigate the area around the pond.
There wasn't much to look at, really. But something that I still remember from that moment when I was drowning was that I saw a pair of sharp blue eyes.
"Hey." I heard a familiar voice call out to me and I turned around—Prince Felix.
"Good evening Your Highness…"
"I heard you fell into the lake?" He asked, adjusting his crutches on the soft grass.
I was actually pushed down... I wanted to correct him, but stayed quiet instead.
"Yes your highness, what you've heard is indeed true..." I said instead.
"Right.... I hope you're doing better now..." He said before turning his head to the other side before walking away. That was... Weird to say the least…
A sharp pair of blue eyes.... Prince Felix has blue eyes too.... My eyes widened as I realized the similarities....
No way.... He may look at me with disdain or disgust, but he wouldn't try to kill me right? After all, that could lead to serious consequences, even for him... But then again, how could He of all people would've known that I fell into the lake? Was it William Davies? I felt a cold and sharp pain, something like metal or iron.... And crutches— before my thoughts could wander farther, I heard a rustling behind me, causing me to turn around when I saw him for the first time.
Prince Blaine Faustus Voss Keiriff. Prince Felix's older brother. The blue-eyed, raven-haired prodigy of the royal family, the eldest son of King Alden the first. He's two years my senior. I was so lost in him that I almost forgot to greet him.
"Greetings Your Imperial Highness—!" I said, stumbling on my words as I bowed wobbly. My cheeks turning red from embarrassment... This is ridiculous...
"Ah...! Greetings my lady, you're Viviane, Viviane Graham de Vanilly if I remember correctly aren't you?" He asks, his voice smooth like silk.
"Oh, yes, I am indeed Viviane Graham de Vanilly your highness, but I just go by Vi..." I said, my gaze held low, I was still far too embarrassed to look at him in the eye.
"Ah... Well then, it's a pleasure to meet you... Vi... You're in the same year as my little brother aren't you?" He asks, finally making me stand straight and look at him.
"Yes your highness, I am.." I said in a calm voice despite my embarrassment. I mean, I was speaking to the future king after all!
He just nodded before saying— "Well... My little brother can be a headache at most times, but he's a good kid... Please don't hate him..."
His voice was almost pleading, which made me question my earlier deduction of Prince Felix's actions... But if not him, then who...?
"Anyway," he said straightening up "I shall invite you to have tea with me some other time, as it is already quite late, will you accept it?" He asked.
I can't exactly say no to a royal, can I? "Of course, Your Highness, it'd be a pleasure...." I said instead. This, was just about to get more complicated.

After my little 'chat' with Prince Blaine, I decided to accept Isodle's advice, and make my way towards the old library.
It was a beautiful space, there were so many books to choose from, but it was officially stopped using a few years back after the death of Lady Claire. Although it is a mystery as to how exactly she died, but her soul is said to haunt the library to this day... But isn't that just stupid? Well at least that's what I think....
