Eron

She is defiant, doesn't back down, and raises her snout just to affront me, staring into my eyes. But I like her lack of love for life. Doesn't she know she shouldn't look an Alpha in the eyes and challenge him?

We stare at each other for a while until I remember I have one of those days waiting for me at the pack headquarters.

"Wait for me later in the same place where we had our connection. You can't run since you're my destined."

"In your dreams that I'm your destined, nothing happened between us besides sex and this stupid mark on me," she growls loudly at me.

"Are you going to continue in denial? You better accept what we are to each other soon, there's not much to do now besides accept. Do you think I'm happy with this?" I impose myself over her with my taller figure. "I was fine living my grief until you crossed my path and drove me crazy… I need to go now. I want you later in the same place where our bond united us."

She runs off in another direction without answering if she will be waiting for me. I just remembered that I left my cell phone at the pack headquarters yesterday and I need it before going to work.

I go to a hollow tree where I usually leave a change of clothes, returning to my human form I put on the clothes and run to the pack headquarters. I go to my office and pick up my cell phone on the table, but as I'm leaving, passing through the central hall, I see a woman approaching.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" I ask, but she gets closer.

Stopping in front of me, I watch her nose sniff as if she were smelling me, after sleeping with the young white-haired woman and our hot encounter in the forest I didn't go home to take a shower. So I have her scent, her sex impregnated in me… which doesn't bother me, on the contrary, I'm enjoying it.

"Are you mute by any chance?" I feel uncomfortable with her so close.

"If I'm not mistaken I'm at the Black Oak pack headquarters, right?" she asks.

"Yes, you are! So what?"

"And you must be Alpha Eron, am I right?"

"Who are you?"

"I'm Hannah, I belong to the Northern Wolves pack. I'm the daughter of the Alpha there and I came to meet my future fiance."

I laugh, did they really anticipate like that just to put the rope around my neck and then pull it?

"I think you're mistaken, I don't intend to marry anyone from your pack," I move away and turn my back to her to walk towards the back door.

"I have a year to win your heart, Alpha of the Black Oak pack."

I stop where I am and without turning to her I say:

"I think you arrived a little late, daughter of the Alpha of the Northern Wolves pack."

I go home after that, arriving home I take a shower and lie down on my bed. I have an hour to rest before today's exhausting day.

How dare Omar and Lucius go so far like that? Who do they think they are to push that woman down my throat? This will not stand. They gave me a year and not even a week has passed.

I'm lying down, thinking about the white-haired woman until someone knocks on the front door and I get up. When I open the door my uncle comes in worried.

"Eron, don't go to the pack headquarters today. Do anything else, but don't go there," my uncle makes me laugh with his care and concern for me.

"Uncle, calm down, I already know… Hannah is there," he looks at me curiously.

"How do you know her name? Have you already met?"

"I was at headquarters and found her earlier. They are going too far. First they gave me a year and now this?"

"I only found out when I arrived at the pack headquarters in the morning. They are omitting things from me because of our kinship. This is not fair, I have never fallen short as an elder," my uncle sits on the sofa with his hands on his temples.

"In a way I feel guilty, they are picking on you because of me."

"Don't feel guilty, we are family and family protects each other. But I never let that interfere in my judgment with them. I will solve this, my nephew… don't worry."

"Let's go to the pack headquarters, I have a lot of work for today."

"Are you sure you want to go? She is there at their invitation, expelling her is not advisable since she is their guest."

"That woman will not keep me out of my pack headquarters, if she is bothered she should leave. Let's go now."

I go up just to change clothes and then I go to the pack headquarters. Arriving there I observe Lucius and Omar with Hannah in a conversation full of laughter and cordialities. When they see me they make a point of approaching.

"This is our imposing Alpha, Eron," Lucius displays me like a trophy.

"He has taken care of everyone for years, since very young he has shown himself to be the best Alpha we have ever had," Omar seems to be advertising a good product.

"We bumped into each other earlier here, I just introduced myself, but the Alpha seemed to be in a hurry," she throws a certain charm at me that I end up hating this advance.

"You are their guest, not mine. I have work to do, with that said, continue with what you were doing. I need to go."

"Alpha, you can't leave a guest of the pack headquarters before presenting our pack to her, that would be rude of your part… her family may see it as an affront and we don't want that," Lucius has a certain tone of threat in his voice.

"You invited her…" they both look at me with a warning in their eyes and my uncle squeezes my shoulder making me look at him, "maybe, after lunch I will have time. I guarantee nothing. Now I need to go."

I leave them where they are and walk stomping to my office, locking the door after I enter. A desire to throw everything up consumes me. But they won't see me like this.
