What got into me? Why did I approach that woman so intimately? And worst of all, I liked it, I liked it a lot. As if that wasn't enough, we had a connection. How can she be my Luna? I thought it was Leona.

I'm running through the forest after leaving her sleeping in that old cabin. I'm not going back there, what happened confused me, that's all. If that was all... how did she advance my haze?

I'm going crazy. This is madness. I keep running until I'm exhausted and lie down between two huge bushes. I sleep there for a while until I remember what awaits me at the pack headquarters and I go home.

"Where were you?" Lucas asks worriedly. "You should have called me if you were going far."

"You should be at your house taking care of yourself. Do you think pneumonia is a joke?" I ask, throwing myself on the sofa.

"I shouldn't even be sick. I still don't know how it happened and why it happened."

"It's simple, we are also human, at some point our body may falter. We are not superheroes, Lucas."

"We should be. For all the things we do. But, tell me... what was said at the meeting that I couldn't go to?"

I tell him what the council of elders wants from me and my total revulsion for an arranged marriage when I don't want to mate with anyone.

"Alpha, can they force you to marry?"

"If I don't find someone worthy of an Alpha, maybe yes! But I don't want to and I'm not looking."

At that moment Argus shouts in my mind:

"Liar." — and the white-haired woman invades my thoughts.

"The haze season has started, why don't you try to find someone?"

"Maybe I have found someone." I say so low that Lucas barely hears. "Lucas, I need a few days, but if I have the answer I need I won't be forced to mate with whoever they want."

"Who is she?" Lucas asks.

"She only has a face for me. But soon it will be more than that."

We drink a little and talk. Lucas goes home against his will and I go to another boring day at the pack headquarters.

"Alpha, we have had some complaints of theft of small animals in the vicinity. You need to find out what's going on." my uncle says.

"Right now with the harvest festival in the spring approaching this comes up. Gather a group of ten wolves for me, we will sniff and find out what's going on."

"Regarding the harvest festival, we need a female presence by your side to lead the women. Have you made any decision about the marriage?" my uncle asked, fearing my mood.

"Tell them that the one-year deadline has not yet passed and that I am not in a hurry."

My uncle just smiles at me and walks away, my room becomes empty and quiet. Soon I will have to go out to hunt whoever is stealing the animals in the region and that will occupy me enough to forget what I did with the stranger.

Soon the wolves and I are running through the pack's perimeter and we smell foxes. I can't believe these animals are here again.

"Alpha, what should we do when we find them?" Raphael asks.

"Kill them! We have to make sure how many there are." I order and each one runs to one side.

After tearing apart two foxes I found myself circling the old cabin where I was yesterday. I smell her here, it's strong enough to make me want to go in. Argus drives me crazy demanding her for us.

I return to human form for a few minutes to think more calmly. I leaned against a tree and watched the house. The night is beginning to fall and the desire to enter to see what she is doing only increases.

I hear something in the woods and return to wolf form. Crossing the forest once again I find another fox. I run like crazy until I realize that my paws have taken me back to the old cabin.

It's already dark and I don't know exactly what time it is until I feel the haze hit me like a giant wave embracing me and warming me like a brazier.

Her scent fills my nostrils making it almost impossible to refuse the desire screaming in me. I return to human form and walk with difficulty to the door opening it slowly.

I hear a noise of something breaking and I quicken my steps to a small kitchen. I think about walking back to the door decided to walk away, but I stop when I see her lift her dress and touch herself.

I can't leave, I freeze there until I see her come to the living room, I step away thinking about leaving. When I turn around, I observe that she is crawling on the floor trying to get to the room.

She looks at me and gets up in a rush. She looks confused and shakes her head a few times until she says:

"If you're real, go away. Don't take another step in my direction." she turns and enters the room.

If she thinks she can order me around I will show her who's in charge here. I go to the room and she turns around very irritated.

"Go away, or you'll regret coming here."

"Really?" I say going in her direction, not giving her time to back down. "Because your scent screams for me."

I hug her and after the kiss I get lost in my haze that mixes with hers. She wraps her legs around my waist, I hold her firmly with one arm and with my free hand I tear her dress leaving a trail of rags on the floor.
