Chapter 3: signing a contract

Jeff chuckled and look at her steadily "do you want to leave here?". Tracy nodded her head vehemently. She really wanted to leave this place. She hates restrictions. Jeff pursed his lips. He didn't want her to go not because he finds her attractive in his eyes but because he wanted to keep her. Tracy felt uncomfortable under his gaze,he was looking at her with a familiar yet unfamiliar emotions. "You will let me go, right. M.. my boyfriend will go paranoid if he doesn't see me again". Tracy said, while quietly peeping at the man before her to see his reaction. "have you ever been to LA?"

"Um!!" Tracy was taken aback.

"Why do you ask". Jeff didn't answer,he simply stood up and said "meet me in my study in half an hour. That's was simply an order, not a request.

After he left "scumbag, pervert,f*cking annoying asshole. Ahh, this is so ridiculous". Tracy shouted in frustration. She couldn't help not swearing at him. The guy is really cold, Tracy thought.

After washing up in the bathroom, she still wore her previous clothes since there wasn't a change clothes. Today is the weekend so Tracy was relieved that she didn't have to go to work. She will be able to resolve everything and go back home. An hour has already passed when Tracy decided to go to his study. However the villa is so big that she got lost trying to find the study room. The workers never stay in the main villa so Tracy couldn't find anyone to give her direction. Only after venturing for so long that she found a room with the door slightly close. Could this be the study room. Tracy pushed the door and entered. The room was lightly furnished with black and white colour and black leather sofas. There was a large wall in-built  shelves fill to the brim with books. Tracy was in awe, never have she seems something like these. She suddenly longed to read those books. Ever since a little age, she has always love books and could read any kinds of books. Infact she was nicknamed "bookworm".

As her eyes darted to the couch,a look of astonishment flashed in her eyes. Meanwhile Jeff was reading some documents in a relaxed mood on the couch. His legs were crossed against each other. Tracy was in a daze.  Earlier she has been too angry and unsettled that she didn't take to notice how exceptionally good looking this man is. He is too handsome without blemishes. She has never seen someone who can be compared to this man in the entertainment industry. Even while he is sitting in a carefree manner,he still exuded a Cold unfathomable aura of a King. His well defined and sexy lips were habitually pursed. His poker face is sculpted like a master sculpture. Such a face will break world records of the entertainment industry. He will be so popular without doing anything. He is dazzlingly handsome without comparison.

"How long will you stand there".  With Those cold magnetic voice, Tracy felt like water was suddenly doused on her. She snapped out of her trance.

"I was just about to..." Before she could finish,he turned his head and looked at her. His handsome eyebrows,dark eyes, straight nose and impeccable features were breathtaking. However his deep sinister black eyes made her shudder.

Any time he looks at her, she usually feel like those eyes held something against her. Tracy doesn't know what it is but whatever it is, she knew it wasn't something pleasant. His look towards her always make her feel like he is prying deep into her soul,he could probably know her thought and that really gives her the creep. "Haven't you have seen enough, you can find somewhere and sit down" he said and slowly went back to his reading.

" narcissist, so rude" Tracy harrumphed.

Jeff chuckled and put down the documents.

"I'm here already. What do you have to say. I need to get going"

"Miss harderson, do you loves reading books".

"No". Tracy said curtly. Jeff gave a silent nod.

"Why do you ask".

"Cause I hate dummies". Jeff replied with a straight face.

What does he mean. Is he calling her a dummy. She thought inwardly.

"Look, I don't care what you want to talk about. Please just let me go".

Jeff stood up,he walked around her, pulled out a file document and thrown it to her. "Sign this".

"Huh!!"Tracy looked at the document that landed on her lap and look back at him.

"Don't you want to leave here?"Jeff sat down back on the couch like a king subjecting his servants to punishment.

"Yes, yes but why do I have to sign document"

"There is no room for questions".

Jeff retorted calmly. Tracy twitched her lips.

She quietly open the document, seeing the words on the first page. She felt hit by thunder bolt. Infact she was sick to the gut. She used her last ounce of self restraint by not flipping the document at him when she remembers who he is. She realized she couldn't afford to mess with this man.

"No way, I'll not sign this".  The document was simply a contract for her to be his girlfriend for a year.

"Why aren't you signing?" Jeff raise his eyebrows at her.

"Look, you don't have to take responsibility for what you did". After all, he didn't deflower her.

Jeff had a look of surprise on his face.

"I have my boyfriend, so don't even think of threatening me with this contract. If you refuse to release me, I will make a report again you to the police. You may be a billionaire but you can't trespass on my right without reason". Tracy said. She has always been a vocal person and have to say out her mind.

"Are you threatening me?" He casually lifted his lips, his voice low and magnetic like a cello but without any warmth.

Tracy squinted her eyes "you are an important person, I dare not threaten you".

"En, it's good you know".

It's good you know, Tracy was so anger that her mouth twitched.

She stood up "I'm going now since there is nothing reasonable to talk to me about".

"I won't hold you but I reckon you work in the entertainment industry". Jeff stood up from the couch,he stood before her. Seeing  the close distance between them, Tracy took two steps to the back. His lips pursed up in a sinister smile. "Miss harderson what will the public say if your sex tape is exposed". Tracy shivered, she looked at him with shock.

Jeff felt content with her reaction. "Every actress care about their reputation, I believe you are not excluded". His words were so feather like, but to Tracy it felt like rocks weighting on her. 

"What do you mean?". Her voice shook slightly.

"What do you think?". Jeff chuckled.  Tracy knees went limp. How would she not know what this man is talking about. He simply want to destroy her reputation that she has been trying to build for five years.

"You can't do that, please".

"Why not, I will be helping you to get popular". Jeff said.

'Popular my foot' Tracy thought. He is simply leading her to her doom.

"No, please don't".

"If you want me not to do it, you must fulfill my request".

Which is- Tracy already knew what the request is.  How can she sign a contract to be his girlfriend for a year,if words should go out wouldn't it just be the same as exposing her sex tape. ' Damn' Tracy cursed. This is really a situation of from the pan to the fire. She was in a dilemma. "What do you say, should I make this go viral". He waved the tiny pen in a languid manner. "Don't worry, you wouldn't be my girlfriend, you will only pretend to be my girlfriend". Only after saying that, did her brows relaxed.

"I will sign it, but I have a

request ".  Jeff made a subtle gesture for her to continue.

"You will let me go back home".  Jeff nodded.  Tracy flipped over the contract and quickly sign.  Fine she will only pretend to be his girlfriend. It's no big deal Tracy thought.

"I suggest you read through the condition so you would not have a course to regret".

"What course, I have already signed". Tracy gave the contract to him. "Now release me".

"Sure, you can go back to your room".

"No, I mean I want to go home".

"This is your home now".

"You wish" Tracy retorted like she has just heard a ridiculous joke. "I suggest you take this as your copy and go over the condition. If there is anything you don't understand, see me". He walked out of the door.  Tracy picked up the contract he left on the couch.  She carefully read over the condition, everything seems fine until she reach number twenty four of the condition.

*Party B must live with party A.

*Party B must not be away from party A.

*Party B must report all her daily routine to party A.

*Party B must not be in any relationship until the contract expires.

*Party B must be obedient and do whatever party A want.

...................

Tracy head thumped with pain as she read on.

Isn't this worse than slavery. How can she lives with him and report everything she does to him. Tracy felt like killing herself for signing such bullshit.

Looking at the paper, an idea dawned on her but she was soon let down as she realizes this was just a copy,he has taken the real contract where her signature is. It'll make no point if she shard it off. Tracy banged her first on the table. "Crafty old man". She spat out. Just in two days, Tracy felt like her life has been caught in a dangerous rope. What devil sent her to the wolf lair.

Honestly, Tracy doesn't know how she got to his room that night. A director in her company was celebrating his birthday, did she really drink too much that she became so intoxicated or was her drink spiked. Tracy mind never thought of that, but it can't be possible. 

Meanwhile inside the master bedroom. Jeff tossed the recording pen on the bed. "Little fool"he uttered coldly. He never thought it will so easy to fooled her. Well now,he feels so satisfied. After Placing the contract inside his drawer,he took out a painting. It's was an oil painting of Tracy made into a small frame. The painting was really lucid, outlining all the perfect features of Tracy. Jeff gently caress the girl face.

He sighed and dropped it back inside the drawer and lock it.
