CHAPTER 5

After the search, the instructor and his assistants leave, Agnes sighed in relief

 "Quick, quick go and bring my hair curler, my baby! !" Gina says running toward the window and checks to see it. Agnes grabs her phone and walks out, she heads to the back garden and gasps, there were other appliances, like foot massagers, hot plate, and other hair curlers.

"It's like a shop of appliances" Agnes mumbled as she searched for it, but then she looks up and shrieks in fear when she sees blue eyes staring at her, she places a hand on her chest as she crouched unto the floor,

"You scared me Emmanuel, you should have said something, what are you doing here anyway" She said and stood up with a huff, glaring at him. Emmanuel tried to hide a smile and said,

"How is that your business? , why are you here?" He asks and she rolls her eyes,

"I'm looking for my friend's pink hair curler" She confessed pointing the light around.

"You really did well feigning innocence earlier, you deserve an Oscar" He teased but started helping her search, Agnes spots it in a tree and quickly stands on the little stone that was under the tree, she stretched, but she couldn't reach it and groans,

"Get down shortie let me take it for you" Emmanuel says, and she places a hand on his shoulder as she stepped down, she stumbled and he quickly supports her by placing his hand around her waist. Agnes yelps when she feels his hands on her bare skin and immediately pulled away, but he tugs her at her hand and she jumps down, she glares at him and folds her arms.Emmanuel clears his throat and stands on the stone, takes the curler down and hands it to her. Agnes could feel her heart pounding, she had decided to wear a yellow crop top and white shorts when she came out to look for the curler,

'Maybe I should have changed' she thought with a sigh

"Here" He said, and she takes it and mumbles a thank you as she briskly starts walking away, she hears footsteps behind her and glances and sees him following her,

"Where are you going? Stop following me" She said and he rolled his eyes and tucks his hands into his pocket,

"I'm escorting you to your dorm, why? You think I'll let you go alone then tomorrow you'll disappear, and they'll say I'm the last person seen with you and arrest me, I'm human not a psychopath, let's go I have to head back to my dorm"

He said, grabbed her arm and dragged her along

The following morning, Agnes runs out of her dorm in happiness towards the males' dorm, she had texted her brother that she would be coming over to his place and he agreed, it has been 4 months since she last saw him, she and her brother were very close though they argued most of the time. She took out her phone and checked the room number , she quickly spots the room number and barged open the door and jumped unto her brother who quickly caught her in surprise, she wrapped her legs around him like a Koala.

"Hey little devil you're here, did you miss me that much?" He said and she nodded, and buried her face in the crook of his neck, but then she looks up to see Emmanuel coming out of thier bathroom shirtless, he had only jeans on

They both blinked in shock then

Agnes blushed and hid her face is his neck again while Emmanuel, silently but quickly hurried to his bed and wore a black shirt, then he sat on his desk and opened his laptop, pretending as If nothing happened.

"Why are you blushing?" her brother, Austin asked and she whispered

"Is he your roommate?" He glanced at Emmanuel, and nodded

"Do you know him?"

"Kinda? But it's okay let's talk about me" She said and looked at his face with a smile, he placed her unto his desk and also sat down,

"How was your military training?"

"It was fine, Emmanuel was my instructor....he's very cold-hearted " She whispered the last part to him and he laughed and nodded,

"I know right?, I practically live with him, so I experience it day in, and day out" He said, and she smiled as they continued chatting about their mom, dad, and other topics. Agnes glanced at Emmanuel and wondered what he was watching on the laptop, their gaze met, and she gave a small smile, he only nodded in acknowledgement, but then she trailed her eyes to his laptop, and back to him in a quick movement as if asking what he was watching. Emmanuel turned the screen to face her, and she gasps when she sees a video of a dead person's insides being scooped out, her eyes draw back to his, and he smirks thinking

'Revenge! Muahahaha *evil laugh*'

"What's wrong?" Austin asked, and she quickly shook her head

"Nothing. .. so you mean you watch kdrama when you're bored……" She said continuing the conversation, she glanced back at Emmanuel and saw him clicking Some stuff on his laptop wth a bored expression, SHE WAS FREAKED OUT. ......
