CHAPTER 4

The following morning, all the girls in the dorm where woken up early, they were sent into a walk in closet full of military attires on hangers

 And were told to pick what will fit then told to be in the large park in 15 minutes. Once they were there, they formed straight lines. Agnes spots Emmanuel in a uniform like theirs, he seemed to be the one that will supervise them for today, but he was not the only one, he saluted the commander and turned to them, his eyes lingered on her before he introduced himself in a loud voice

 "Hello Juniors, I am Emmanuel a second year. For this military training I will be the assistant instructor and your supervisor"

 "Why is there an assistant instructor?" Gina whispered to them

 "It's because, I heard that during last year's military training, a student and the instructor had a conflict and things got really unpleasant. So this year, the school asked the student council to assist with communication. The one in charge of our formation is from the Forensic Science Department, he is also the new student association president" Cat replied

"How do you know so much.?" Agnes asked

"Because I usually like to go on forums" She responded and Agnes nods, secretly glaring at Emmanuel, 'Why is it him again? Such bad luck 'she thought in annoyance.

"Now for today's activity, three laps around the podium. Go! Keep your formation" Emmanuel shouts, and he leads them for the laps. By the time they finished the second lap, Agnes and Gina were lagging behind, tired and panting.

 "On the count of 3 we drop to the ground together,okay?Gina says and Agnes nods,

"But wait, let me get into the mood. Foaming at the mouth is more effective ", just then a voice spoke,  "Foaming at the mouth is usually due to phosphate cancer or someone with epilepsy,  May I ask which one your are?" They both looked up to see Emmanuel jogging next to them, she quickly faked a laugh

"None of course, I was just joking, I love running" Agnes says and he nods

"Very well then, all the best" He says and runs up ahead

"All the best to you too" She says with a fake smile,,Gina waits till he was gone until she asks Agnes

"Do you know him?"

 "He's the senior I told you confiscated my phone, it's an ill fated relationship, let's not talk about him ".

After the run, they are allowed to rest up, Agnes and Gina sneak into one of the bathroom stalls and apply white foundation on thier face to appear ill since they didn't want to run for the second lap. Once they were summoned again for a last run to wrap things up, they both squatted on the grass, faking agony,

"What's wrong " the main instructor asks

"Instructor, our stomach hurts. I think we ate something bad.  And I think we have a bit of heatstroke, we feel dizzy" Agnes says and Gina nods

"Ate something bad? Squatting will help relive your pain" the instructor said

"What! I mean I need to use the washroom" Gina says and the instructor sighs contemplating for a while

"Emma!" He called out

"Here" Emmanuel said, approaching

"Come over , the school strongly emphasized that during military training  we need to have good rapport with student, but the make-up of these two students  is testing my intelligence.  You take care of it" the instructor told him and he glanced at the two girls squatting on the floor wearing baffled expressions, he sighs and turns to the instructor

"Sir! Please handle it according to the milatary training regulations " a Emma said

"Asshole" Agnes mumbles under her breath, only Gina heard it and nodded

"Alright,then let them do 30 push-ups, Supervise them "

"Yes sir!"

 Emmanuel sends them to stand infront of one of the goalposts used during games and makes them start doing thier punishment,  by 15 Gina collapsed on the floor with a grunt but Agnes keeps going, once she reached  20 Kevin suddenly approached them with two water bottles, he himself was panting, it looked like he run here

"Agnes? I was searching for you and why are you doing press-ups ?" He asked glancing at Emmanuel then back to them,

"Just go away,  I'm almost done" She said

"I'll do their's both,  how many?" He asked Emmanuel who looked at him in disinterest and crossed arms. Kevin ignores him and starts doing the press-up, after a few minutes Emmanuel spoke,  "You doing this isn't helping thier punishment, nothing changes". Kevin stood up in annoyance

"We're all students you don't have to go this far" Kevin said

"It's principle " They stand there glaring at each other,  Gina whispered to Agnes

"Say, will they get into a fight about us? No boy has fought over me before, this is interesting "

"Shut up and start counting " She told her

"ALL STUDENTS GATHER ON THE FIELD IMMEDIATELY. ." Suddenly an announcement was given

"Keke, just go.  I'm almost done okay?" Agnes says and Kevin glares at Emmanuel before placing the bottles down and running along.

"28,29,30" Agnes says and stands up on her feet, dragging Gina up wth her, panting,

"We're done Senior, please let us go" Emmanuel stared silently at them before nodding

"Go" He said and they thanked him and run to meet the others, once they were gone Emmanuel sighed and followed suite in strides.

Soon night fell, and the instructors announced that they would be going round the dorms to check if they had any high voltage appliances and will be starting from the males dorm.

Agnes and her roommates were busy hiding the objects they knew could drain power, after they were done arranging their room, a hair curler that belonged to Gina remained,  just then the instructors entered and Agnes picked the curler behind her and stood closer to the window,  the instructor,  Regina and Emmanuel looked at her like she was crazy,

"Why are you standing so far away?" The instructor asked "It's a bit hot here, instructor" She said with a smile, he looked at her for a few seconds before turning to Regina and Emmanuel

"It's this girls again this means we need to check thoroughly the... " as he spoke, Agnesopened the window and threw the curler out, Emmanuel and Regina saw this act and Regina immediately snitches "Sir, Agnes just threw away a prohibited item",  Agnes stared at her in shock but right when the instructor turned to look at her she feigned innocence and walked towards him with both her hands infront of her, shrugging

"What prohibited item? I didn't throw anything.  What are you talking about? Don't speak nonsense and how do you know my name"Agnes said, Emmanuel raised an eyebrow in amusement a small smile playing on his lips ,

"It's written on the beds" She lied, she had actually checked her information after she noticed Emmanuel staring at her yesterday

"Oh right! Emma didn’t you see too?" She asked him, Agnes secretly showed him pleading eyes and he turns to the instructor

"It's didn’t see anything " He said and Regina frowned, 'Why is he defending her?, does he like her?' she thought

"It's okay, you must be seeing things, we forgive you" Gina quickly said, wanting them to leave quickly , Regina sighed "Maybe I did see wrong" She says and Gina and Cat nod

"Let's take a look around " the instructor tells them and they nodded as they start searching around the room
