Chapter 5 : Why Me?

My dad look at me stepmom and says "Our family is going to bankrupt.!!" and cried infront of me I was shocked and I ask him "are you serious? But how?" I look at dad but he just keep crying and I hold his hand and ask my stepmom because she the only one in there with my dad. I take a deep breath and politely ask "What happen?" she look at me and says "your dad couldn't take care of the company, he was to busy to take care of me and Veronica at house" while look at her nail she talk to me like she didn't done anything wrong.

"what do you mean my dad is 'to' busy at home?" I patiently ask her and she answer with a evil smile on her face "well, he cooked, do laundry, massage me, the most easy word to say is he do all the work at the house almost everything.."

I become angry and tell my dad "oh my god dad, where are all the maids go?!" the stupid women says "you know all of them is useless so I fired all of them but ypur fatger volunteer him self to do all the things in the house."

"then why don't you do all the things by yourself since it is you fired all the maids!! You making my dad looks bad like he is a maids!!" I yell at her and my dad look at me and says "stop!! right now we need to find way out. How are we going to save the company?"

I look at dad and says "well do we have any money that we save from the company?"

My dad look at me "no..."

"what do you mean by no? Dad.. You start this company for a very long time, grandpa give the company because he trusted you and now there's no money in the bank!!! Dad, if granpa know about this he will be really disappointed by your attitude.!!" I said that and my dad didn't look at me and I ask again "where did all the money gone?"

My stepmom answer "of course we used it to shopping to do my nails and hair. We as a women need to be beautiful and attractive and of course I don't want to be like your mom which is ugly as hell"

I hold my tears and says "if you want to live you better watch you mouth"

My stepmom look at me and tell my dad "oh my god hubby look at this girl she is trying to do something bad at me, dear please protect me"

My dad push that stupid women hand over his shoulder and tell me "now there is only one way to save our company..."

"what is it?" I question.

"you must marry to Law family" my dad says.

I was shocked I didn't expect thet was coming out from my dad own mouth and says "No I will not marry anyone that I don't know"

"please Venus you are the only hope that we have, please marry him for god sake." My dad says with his eyes is full of tears.

"But why me? Why it is always me? Is there no more way out then this horrible way? Am I the only way? Dad don't you think it is a bad idea to make your daughter to marry someone that she don't even know? Why can't I live a happy life like anyone else can? Why it always happen to me? Do you even love me? Care about me? I don't want to get hurt anymore? " A lot of question come in my mind but I just ask one thing

" WHY ME? " I said and my tears fall down.

"Because that old guy just want you to be his wife and because you are naive." my stepmon answer my question. I just smile and says "Even if I was a naive person I'm not that stupid, well dad if you want me to marry him and that's the only way to make you happy then go ahead"

My dad look at me and his eyes were sparkling and says "thank you I love you dear, now take care of yourself ok I'm leaving" dad kiss my forehead and leave just like nothing happen.
