The next morning, Rayn woke up with a strange warmth pressed against his side.

Ivan's coat, draped over him like a shield.

He himself was gone.

Rayn sen

(touched his lips, still tingling with the memory of last night.)

Rayn sen

I kissed a killer. I kissed the man who ruled through fear.

Rayn sen

*blushed*

And yet.... something was different now. The fear hadn't vanished. But it had grown roots --tangled with something darker, deeper.

*having breakfast*

there were continues gun shots now

*froze*

gunshots echoed down the hall, the sharp crack of bullets slicing through marble air. Rayn walked to the door and opend of see bodyguards laying down dead.

*turned and collided against a hard yet warm chest looks up to see*

Get back to your room!!

Rayn sen

What's happening!!??

Ivan Brown

Betrayal (grabbed Rayn's wrist and starts pulling and walking) Someone wants you gone.

Ivan dragged him, through halls like a man possessed, his body a shield, his grip iron.

They reached a narrow passage, behind the wall cellar -- dark, cold reeking of dust and secrets Ivan shoved open a door that led into a hidden room.

slammed it shut behind them.

Ivan Brown

*breathing hard, He stared at Rayn like memorizing him again*

Not lustfully but panic under control.

Ivan Brown

They tried to kill you.

Rayn sen

*gulped* But why??

Ivan Brown

Because I let you in (whispered) and in this world there is no place of love.

Rayn sen

*blinked* is that what this is for??

Silence

Ivan Brown

*Kissed him* (with a passion of rough, desperate and as if trying to take a claim before the world ripped them apart)

*parted away*

(rested his forehead against Rayn)

If they want you *growled* they will have to go through me first!

Rayn for the first time didn't feel like a hostage. he felt worth of something and more than anything protected.

The next 24 hours was blurred in violence.

(Didn't sleep, barely spoke.)

Ivan kept moving like a shadow in his estate -- barking orders in German and clipped English. Pulling strings that made people vanish and dragging betrayal into the light like a rotting corpse.

By nightfall, three of his own men were killed. One was his lieutenant, other one who had seen the kiss

*watched all it unfold behind locked door and bulletproof glass. was being protected*
