(ran his fingers across the books kept in the self. Some were in English, some in Russian and some in German a few languages he couldn't even name)

*in mind* one thing is clear that he is educated and not just a street-smart

Rayn sen

*choose a worn copy of crime and punishment and sat down at a velvet armchair, but his eyes weren't on the pages*

his eyes were seeing tHe man sitting across him sipping his coffee like it was wine. Ivan didn't speak from the time they entered the room. he is just simply watching Rayn like studying a subject.

Rayn sen

You were rich before the blood money, weren't you? (asked suddenly)

Ivan Brown

(looked up amused) I was born into a very wealthy kind of hell.

There was silence, then Ivan rolled up his sleeves again till his elbows

A scar curved across his forearm -- thick, jagged, and old. It looked like it had nearly taken his life.

Ivan Brown

Fourteen-year-old.

Ivan Brown

My uncle tried to kill me with a broken bottle when my father died. He thought I was too soft to survive this business. He said I wasn't worth the name.

Ivan Brown

Ugly, I know

Rayn sen

it isn't ugly it's deep, personal and brutal.

Rayn sen

what did you do? (asked curiously)

Ivan Brown

I slit his throat while he slept. Took three hours to stop shaking. After that no one ever called me soft again.

Rayn sen

*didnt look away felt something twist in this chest*

Rayn sen

You were just a kid.

Note:- Rayn's age is 19 Ivan's age is 24

Ivan Brown

We don't get to be children in my word.

Ivan Brown

*murmured* we either becomes monsters or we're eaten by them

For the first time the coldness in Ivan's face dimmed. Behind it, there was pain --- raw and unhealed

Rayn sen

I don't pity you (said softly) but I get it.

Ivan Brown

(eyes sharpened) Do you?

Rayn sen

I grew up invisible. Not dead, not rich, just un-noticed. You learn to survive in the silence.

Ivan stood up walked towards Rayn slowly, -- not with a predator's hunger but something almost human. He crouched beside the chair

Ivan Brown

I don't trust people, but you-- (fingers brushed lightly against Rayn's jaw, tracing nothing yet everything) -- you make me want to try

Rayn sen

(breath hitched)

but Rayn didn't pull away himself

he heated the heat rising to his skin and hated the part of himself saying

STAY

.....

Rayn sen

(pulled himself away and rushes to his room)

The same night Rayn couldn't sleep. Ivan's words kept repeating in this mind "You make me want to try"

No one had ever said that to him no one had looked at him like that

it terrified him more than any gun.

*knock**knock*

before Rayn could react and open the door. Ivan entered-- he was wearing black again but the top buttons of his shirt were undone, exposing his chest with a chair resting on his collerbone

Rayn sen

You couldn't sleep either?

Ivan Brown

(didn't answer closed the room and and walked forward, stops right infornt of Rayn)

Ivan Brown

I told them you were off-limits

Rayn sen

*blinked couple of times* them??

Ivan Brown

My men, some of them think I've gone soft and that keeping you here may become my weakness.

Rayn sen

And it is?? *in a challengeing tone, while stepping closer* keeping someone who talk back???who's not scared of you??

Ivan Brown

*a slow yet dangerous smirk curved, lips* You scared. You are just good at pretending.

Ivan Brown

*gently touched Rayn's face. his thumb brushing over his lower lips*

Rayn sen

*breath caught*

The touch wasn't cruel. it was careful.

Ivan Brown

I am not good at soft things

Ivan Brown

*murmured* but I keep wanting to be, around you

Rayn sen

*in mind* I should've stepped back but I didn't

Rayn sen

(steps closer) Then try.

Ivan Brown

*pushed him onto the bed hovered over Rayn took and his hands and pinned them above his head*

Ivan Brown

*without wasteing any time directly kisses him*

*starts kissing rough that the glass filled with water beside the bed started to shake*

Ivan Brown

*pulled apart*

Rayn sen

*heart was still racing*

leaves Rayn's hands. Turned and snuggle into his neck and sleeps.

Rayn sen

*after a while his heart became back to normal and drifts to sleep too*
