“When the accident happened, I was driving my car with my sister, Taehee.”

‘Taehyung’ pointed at herself and told the omega traffic police officer, “My sister and I are twins. We look alike. She’s wearing a pair of black jeans and a light blue short jacket. Officer, you must find my sister…”

Seeing Jeon Jiho, Lee Aera rushed forward and told him about Taehee’s checkup. “No internal injuries, just some superficial wounds. She’ll be fine after resting for a while.”

Jeon Jiho nodded and waited for Lee Aera to leave. He then turned his gaze to Taehee.

When he looked at Taehee gazing out of the window in a daze, his heart sank. “Taetae”

Jiho walked to stand between the bed and the window, blocking Taehee’s line of sight.

The annoyed Taehee could only look up at Jiho. She moved her lips and asked, “Jiho oppa, have you found my sister?”

Jiho stared at Taehee with a deep gaze. After hesitating for two seconds, he told her the truth. “No. They searched for two kilometers along the river, yet couldn’t find your sister.” When he saw that Taehee’s face turned even paler, Jiho fell silent.

Taehee did not speak for a long time. Jiho wanted to comfort her, but he was a man of few words, and he did not know how to comfort others either. After thinking about it, he finally took a step forward and sat down on the stool. Holding Taehee’s hand, he patted her back as usual.

Taehee stared at their hands, which were pressed together, and a complicated expression appeared in her eyes.

Just then, the phone on the bedside table rang.

Taehee had just raised her hand when Jiho picked up the phone first. He took a look at it and frowned. “I don’t know the number. Do you want to pick it up?” he asked Taehee.

Taehee was still thinking about something, so she said, “Give me the phone. Perhaps, something happened over there with the traffic police.”

Without saying anything else, Jiho handed her the phone.

Taehee pressed the phone to her ear and spoke first, “Is this the traffic police? Do you have any news of my sister?” She spoke in an urgent tone as if she were afraid that the other party would say something wrong.

The other end of the phone seemed to be silent. Jiho did not know what the content of the phone call was, but he saw a flash of fear appear on Taehee’s face. On closer look, it didn’t seem like fear, but like despair and desolation. Jiho did not think much of it. He just considered that he had seen wrong.

“What is it?”

After hearing Jiho’s question, Taehee tightly gripped her phone and her lips trembled. “The traffic police told me to prepare for the worst.”

Jiho did not speak. This situation was completely within his expectations. However, he saw that Taehee’s face held an ugly expression, so he suddenly stood up and said, “Don’t be anxious. I’ll send some people to look for her again.”

Taehee gratefully looked at him. “Thank you, Jiho oppa.”

Jiho looked at her again before walking out of the ward.

As soon as Jiho left, the sorrow and despair on Taehee’s face disappeared, only to be replaced by fright.

Kim Taehyung had disappeared from the hospital!
