Chapter 2: Twins

“Look at me. I forgot you’re a mute now. You can’t talk.”

‘Taehyung’ deliberately made a vexed expression. She pinched the omega’s chin and forced him to open his mouth. After smiling at the omega’s tongueless mouth, she let go in disdain.

“It’s 15th August today, our birthday. I’ve come to see you,” the beauty said.

The omega on the ground reacted very calmly.

Fifteenth August?

In other words, he had already been imprisoned for six months. In the past, he thought that time passed so quickly, but now, he felt it passed so slowly that living was a form of torture.

The omega on the ground narrowed his eyes. He then opened his mouth and chewed on the bean paste-flavored mooncake with hatred.

In the past, the two of them would eat mooncakes together on the fifteenth day of the eighth month. It was not because the Mid-Autumn Festival was important, but because they were born on this day. Other people’s Mid-Autumn Festival was their birthday. Yes, they were siblings, and twins at that.

They looked the same and had the same height. Even their voices were identical. It was rare to see twins like them.

Seeing the omega eat the mooncake, 'Taehyung' smiled in satisfaction. After laughing, she suddenly said, “I’m pregnant.”

The omega’s chewing lips suddenly stopped moving.

‘Taehyung’ smiled as she observed the funny reaction of the disheveled omega on the ground. She then touched her stomach and gently said, “Kim Taehyung, I’m pregnant with Jeon Jiho’s child.”

This scene was very strange.

The omega called ‘Kim Taehyung’ shouted her name at the omega who looked like her.

No one knew that the original Kim Taehyung, who was supposed to marry Jeon Jiho, had long been imprisoned by his twin, Kim Taehee . Six months ago, the Kim siblings had been driving to a county-level city in Seoul City to play. However, they had encountered heavy rain on the road and lost control of the car. They had fallen into the river.

The surging river had swept away the twins. In the end, the police had found only one of them. They had asked the omega they had saved for her name. The omega had looked at Jeon Jiho, who had been running over, trembled, and said with a face full of fear, “My name is Kim Taehyung.”

Jeon Jiho had hugged ‘Kim Taehyung’ and had not doubted her words.

Kim Taehee and Kim Taehyung had been close since they were young. They almost had no secrets between the two of them. After Kim Taehyung met Jeon Jiho, he often told his twin about his relationship with Jeon Jiho. From her twin, Kim Taehee learned what a great man Jeon Jiho was.

Later on, Kim Taehee also met Jeom Jiho. He was a rather handsome man. Even though he was cold to many people, he was gentle to Taehyung. Taehee  saw how well Jiho treated Taehyung, and gradually, her thoughts became twisted.

Why would such a good man like Jeon Jiho fall in love with my twin?

I look exactly like him.

Taehee had secretly replaced her twin, and no one suspected her identity, not even Jeon Jiho. Three months later,  Kim Taehee occupied the nest and married Jeon Jiho as Kim Taehyung. Another three months later, Taehee got pregnant…

Everyone thought that Kim Taehee was dead, but they did not know that the Second Young Mistress, who had successfully married into the Jeon family, was in fact Kim Taehee. They thought that Kim Taehyung had married Jeon Jiho and was living a blissful life. Little did they know that the real Kim Taehyung was still alive, and the corpse that had been found was only a scapegoat arranged as per Kim Taehee’s arrangement.

Kim Taehee’s men had caught the real Kim Taehyung in the river downstream and imprisoned him in a damp house. They cut off is tongue, and he had become mute. He even had to helplessly watch as the alpha he loved married his twin, who had plotted against him.

When he heard Taehee say that she was pregnant, Taehyung spat out all the mooncakes in his mouth. He opened his mouth and silently cried for several hours.

Taehee could not help but gently smile as she watched Taehyung suffer a fate worse than death.

“My dear twin, you will be imprisoned here for the rest of your life. You will watch as Jiho and I happily live the rest of our lives. You will watch me give birth to children for him. But you, you’re destined to live in this twenty-square-meter house and never see the light of day again.”

The beauty had a bright smile on her face, but it was a chilling smile.
