CHAPTER - 1
The room felt heavy with silence as 'AARVIKA' stepped inside, her heart racing. She had known this day was coming, but still, it felt unreal. Her family’s decision, her fate—locked in a future she didn’t have a say in.
She glanced at the man standing by the window, his back turned. He hadn’t noticed her yet.
Aarvika maitra/FL
Toh, yeh sab kuchh kaise hoga?(with a deep breath, breaking the silence)
(TRANSLATION : so,how is all this going to happen?)
'VANSH YAJVAN' turned to face her, his expression unreadable, eyes cold and distant. He looked like a man who had been carrying a weight for too long.
Vansh yajvan/ML
Jise hum nahi rok sakte, wahi hota hai. (with a calm voice)
( TRANSLATION : What we can't stop, happens.)
Their families had arranged this union. And now, it was their turn to face the reality of it.
Aarvika maitra/FL
Main nahi jaanti... yeh sab aise kaise chalega.(staring at him, hesitant)
( TRANSLATION : I don't know... how all this will go.)
Vansh yajvan/ML
What difference does it make? Neither of us has a choice.(slightly smirking)
AARVIKA swallowed hard, her emotions swirling inside her. She wasn’t prepared for this. She had imagined her future differently. A future where she had the chance to choose who she would love. But instead, she was here, about to marry a man she barely knew.
The conversation shifted slowly, both of them circling around the truth they didn’t want to confront. But the tension was thick, and the words that had been left unspoken were starting to creep to the surface.
Aarvika maitra/FL
Kya tum kisi aur se pyaar karte ho?(gathering courage, her voice low)
( TRANSLATION : Do you love someone else?)
VANSH ’s expression softened for a fraction of a second, his eyes betraying the truth he had been hiding.
Vansh yajvan/ML
Haan. Main kisi aur se pyaar karta hoon. Lekin... ab yeh sab kuch badal chuka hai.(almost in a whisper)
( TRANSLATION : Yes. I love someone else. But... everything has changed now.)
Aarvika maitra/FL
Toh phir, mujhse shaadi kyun? Agar tum usse pyaar karte ho toh...(with a sense of quiet understanding)
( TRANSLATION : Then why marry me? If you love her, then...)
Vansh yajvan/ML
(cutting her off, voice tinged with regret)
Vansh yajvan/ML
This marriage isn’t about us. It’s about our families’ needs. This was written for us
AARVIKA felt a pang of hurt at his words. She had known it wouldn’t be a love story, but hearing it from him, seeing the resolve in his eyes—it was different. She wasn’t ready to accept it.
Aarvika maitra/FL
(softly, more to herself than to him)
Aarvika maitra/FL
Will we both be able to live our lives, knowing all this?
Vansh yajvan/ML
I don’t know. But we don’t have any other choice (after a long pause, his voice almost regretful)
As the conversation dragged on, AARVIKA couldn’t ignore the undeniable truth. He loved someone else. His heart was already taken. Yet, here he was, forced into this marriage by his family, just as she was. Neither of them had any control over their fate.
Aarvika maitra/FL
So, you want her in your life, but I have to stay with you... How will this work?(after a long silence, trying to hold back her emotions)
Vansh yajvan/ML
I don’t know, but you’ll have to understand me. I love her, and marrying you wasn’t my decision (sighing deeply, looking at her)
Aarvika maitra/FL
And me? Didn’t I have any say in this decision?(her voice breaking slightly, trying to stay strong)
Vansh yajvan/ML
Our stories are different. We are both living with our own pain (shaking his head, his voice filled with regret)
The room felt heavy with the weight of their conversation, but AARVIKA couldn’t give up. She needed to know if there was any chance for them.
Aarvika maitra/FL
(looking at him, voice firm)
Aarvika maitra/FL
If you give me a chance, can you accept me with all your heart?
Vansh yajvan/ML
I can’t accept you with all my heart. My love is for someone else. (softly, with deep regret in his eyes)
The truth hung in the air between them, too heavy to be ignored. They both knew this marriage wasn’t about love—it was about duty, about fulfilling the expectations of their families.
