Taehyung’S Forbidden Stranger
World Apart
Jungkook was now ten.
Tall for his age, sharp-eyed, and impossibly calm for a child.
There were no scraped knees, no messy school notebooks, no childhood laughter echoing through the mansion.
Only the sound of footsteps, gunshots from the underground training room, and his tutor’s voice coming from a screen.
The sound of hard footsteps echoed through the mansion as Daewoon made his way toward the underground training hall. His eyes were sharp, cold, and unreadable—like always. Inside, Jungkook stood silently, holding a wooden practice sword. His posture was perfect, feet grounded, arms raised exactly how he was taught.
Daewoon stopper just a few feet away, folding the arms.
Jeon Daewoon
Han (said sharply, locking eyes with his bodyguard Han)
Jeon Daewoon
Don't you dare hold back today. He's not some fragile child who needs protecting. Treat him like a threat. If you go easy on him, you'll answer to me.
Han eyes hesitated for just a second, his eyes flicking toward the 10 year old.
Han ( Bodyguard)
yes Sir ( replied quickly, adjusting his stance)
Jeon Daewoon
(while looking at han) one mistake and I'll replace you with someone who knows how to follow an order.
Jungkook didn’t flinch. His hands gripped the sword tighter, and he looked straight at the man in front of him.
Jeon jungkook
I'm Ready (replied calmly)
Jeon jungkook
He won't go easy and neither will I. ( voice form but controlled)
The moment Daewoon gave the nod, the bodyguard lunged forward. Jungkook dodged, fast and smooth, and swung the sword low and sharp, hitting Han's shin before stepping back in perfect form. His breaths were steady, his expression completely blank.
Daewoon watched silently. He didn’t praise him, but the smallest shift of approval flickered in his eyes.
Jeon Daewoon
That's more like it. You're learning ( muttered under his breath)
After the session, Jungkook’s knuckles were red and bruised, but he didn’t complain. He simply stood there, waiting for Daewoon’s next words.
Jeon Daewoon
You lasted longer than yesterday. That’s progress. But progress isn't enough. You need to be untouchable. Learn to read their next move before they make it. (said coldly)
Jeon jungkook
I will. I want to be stronger (voice quiet but determined)
Jeon Daewoon
Good. Because the world out there doesn't care how old you are. If they see even a flicker of weakness in you, they'll tear you apart.
Later, back in the mansion, Mira waited at the edge of the hallway as Jungkook passed by. Her eyes softened the moment she saw him—bruised, silent, and alone.
Jeon Mira
Kook (she called gently)
Jeon Mira
wait please. Are you hurt?
Her hands moved to reach for his but he didn't stop walking.
Jeon jungkook
I'm fine ( replied without looking at her)
Jeon Mira
You don't have to say that (she said softly)
Jeon Mira
You don't have to act like nothing hurts. You’re still just--
Jeon jungkook
I said I'm fine. Father says pain is part of training. it's supposed to make me stronger.
Mira throat tightened hearing Jungkook
Jeon Mira
But you're a child (she whispered)
Jeon Mira
You're still just a little boy, Jungkook. You need love too. Not just orders and drills.
Jungkook finally turned to face her, his eyes colder than they had ever been.
Jeon jungkook
Love makes people weak. That's what Appa say. I don't want to be weak.
Jeon Mira
You're brave. You're smart but love isn't weakness, baby. It's what makes you human
Jeon jungkook
I don't need it( said firmly)
Her heart sank. She had lost him, bit by bit, year after year. He didn’t smile anymore. He didn’t call her Mama anymore. And now, he looked at her like she was just another person standing in his way.
When night fell, Daewoon stood in his office, reviewing Jungkook’s files. Every detail had been altered. To the world outside, there was no Jeon Jungkook. The documents listed him under a different name, enrolled in a private online institution, encrypted and hidden behind layers of forged records. No birth certificate, no school photos, nothing traceable.
Daewoon stared at the monitor, watching the silent feed of Jungkook’s room. The boy was seated at his desk, typing out an assignment with sharp focus. Not a single glance at his phone, no distractions. Just the faint sound of keys clicking.
A knock at the door pulled him from the screen. It was Han Jisoo, Daewoon’s most trusted guard—the only one allowed to be near Jungkook without explicit permission.
Han ( Bodyguard)
He's completing his lesson of the Day
Jeon Daewoon
He better be. I didn't raise him to waste time
Han hesitated before speaking again
Han ( Bodyguard)
He hasn't stayed with his mother all day. Should I-?
daewoon cut him off immediately
Jeon Daewoon
No. She's soft. Letting her near him now will undo everything I've worked for. Stay by his side. He doesn't need Mira. He needs discipline.
Han left from there and went to jungkook. In his room, Jungkook paused his work and looked at the closed window. His reflection stared back at him—expressionless, composed, too calm for someone his age.
he said suddenly without turning around
Han ( Bodyguard)
Yes, young Master
Jeon jungkook
Do you think I'll ever need friends?
There was a long pause. Han’s voice was low when he finally answered.
Han ( Bodyguard)
I think you'll need someone you can trust. Even if it's just one person.
Jungkook nodded slightly, but didn’t say anything else. His hands returned to the keyboard, typing line after line.
He was ten. But already, his heart had learned how to stay silent.
Jeon jungkook
Trust is dangerous. But maybe you're right ( muttered under his breath )
Somewhere far from the cold halls of Jeon Mansion, laughter echoed through a sunlit garden.
This was a world painted in color—warmth, love, and life.
Kim Taehyung
Catch me if you can, Minjae! you're too slow! (said while running, smiling widely)
Park Minjae (Taehyung's friend)
You cheated! You started running before I said go!
Kim Taehyung
There are no rules in fun. That's the rule! ( said while grinning widely)
Twelve-year-old Kim Taehyung was joy in human form.
Messy hair, loud laughter, and a heart too big for his chest.
Mrs. Kim called Tae from the porch
Kim Yujin (Taehyung's Mother)
Tae! Come have your juice before it gets warm!
Kim Taehyung
Wait for me, Minjae. I'll be back in a second!
Park Minjae (Taehyung's friend)
Don't take forever like last time!
Kim Taehyung
Mom, you should have seen how fast I ran today. I think I broke my own record
Kim Yujin (Taehyung's Mother)
You're always breaking records, Sweetheart.
Now drink up before you meltin that sun. (said while smiling, brushing his hair back)
Kim Taehyung
Thanks mom. Where's dad?
Kim Yujin (Taehyung's Mother)
He's still in the study. Probably still on the calls. You know how business keeps him busy.
Kim Taehyung
He promised to take me to the arcade this weekend! He better not forget
Kim Minho ( Taehyung's father)
And when have I ever broken a promise to my favourite son? ( said while walking toward them)
Kim Taehyung
Never! you're the coolest dad ever! ( Said while grinning widely)
The Kim household was filled with love, laughter, and stability.
Taehyung didn’t know darkness, secrets, or pain.
His world was sunshine.
His heart—unscarred.
Kim Yujin (Taehyung's Mother)
You've got music class at four. Don't forget.
Kim Taehyung
can Minjae come with me?
Kim Yujin (Taehyung's Mother)
Only if he promises not to distract you again
Park Minjae (Taehyung's friend)
hey! I'm a great musical influence! ( shouted while playing in garden)
While some children were shaped by blades and silence…
Taehyung was growing up surrounded by music, love, and endless chatter.
