After walking home after I went my seperate way, I realized that I might have been accepted to their group, acknowledged. I entered my house to see my mom in the kitchen cooking something. It smelt good.

" Good Afternoon, Mom"

" Oh hello, Alex"

I was tired from school, and just wanted to go to bed but when I went up two steps my mom said," Alex, where are you going? You know the rules. Phone on the table and get your homework done."

I walked back down the stairs placing my phone at the table before telling my mom," I think Im going to take a nap for a short while. Like 30minutes. Can I?". My mom looked at me, first I thought I saw a digusted look on her face but the next second she smiled gently and said," Alex, the rules are the rules".

I sighed," Ok" before taking my bag and placing it on the ground near the chair I was about to sit. I pulled out my book, pencil case and began writing but soon my consciousness left me and I fell asleep at the table.

When I woke up again, my mom looked at me confused yet disappointed.

" Alex, didn't I tell you to do your homework first? Why were you sleeping?" Anger hidden behind her words as she spoke.

" I'm sorry, I must've dosed off. Can I just go take a short nap? I promise I will do my homework right after." I asked.

When I looked at my mom this time, her emotions shone right on her face as she said," Alex, oh my heavens and angels! When did you become disrespectful? Just do what your told and be quiet!"

" But I" I tried to explain but then I felt her hand hit my face....hard. She slapped me. Never in my life have she slapped me. I looked up at her surprised.

Pure disgust on her face as she said," Do your homework. I will tie you to the chair and feed you coffee if I have to"

I was surprised, speechless. I guess I never knew this side of her because I always did what I was told. My schedule given to me by my mom, as soon as I reached home I am to do schoolwork, then take a bath and brush my teeth, then have dinner with my family as a famile with specific seats set out for everyone and then brush my teeth one last time. After which I was allowed two hours on my phone in which afterwards I go to bed. No ifs, buts or pleases.

I forced myself to stay awake and did my schedule to it's completion after that. They handed me my phone as I tried to go to bed but as soon as I hit my bed I was in zz land. Then I don't know how long after I woke up to someone hitting my leg.

" Don't you know you only get two hours on your phone?" My mom said. The lights where off but since there was two silhouettes standing in my bedroom, I assumed that my dad was also in the room.

" Yes but I..." I tried to defend but my dad stopped me saying," Your mom told me you was getting disrespectful but phew! Backchat and breaking the rules? You want to be a delinquent?"

I was scared of my own dad just hearing his tone he used.

My dad pulled out something. A clattering noise was heard. A belt? He folded it and i watched my mom leave the room as he beated me up.After he was done and he left the room, I laid on the bed numb. Everywhere hurt.
