Daddy's Princess

"Ouch" I wake up as something hit my head.

When I sit straight I see Mrs Rautela looking at me through her powered glasses, holding the book she uses to slap on sleepy heads.

"Do you need a bed, Rain? We can keep a bed behind those benches. When you feel sleepy you can go and sleep there. what do you say?" She says in a sarcastic way.

"Sorry Mam." I say looking down.

"Go and splash some water in your face. Hurry" She says in a strict tone.

After splashing some water on my face, I walk out of the washroom. It's all because of that stupid fireman. If I hadn't dreamt of him last night, I would had a sound sleep.

Suddenly I see something bright fly past me in the speed of light. I turn to look the way it has gone and see two figures fighting each other. My eyes can't believe what its seeing. One of them was the man from my dreams, covered with fire and other one is a smoky figure, black smoke was surrounding that black figure. They are fighting as if one of them will come out alive. I unconsciously approach them. When they see me, they paused for a moment and fly away to different ways. I search around but can't find any of them. Why are these strange things happening to me?

"Ra Ra" I hear Sharin calling me.

"What are you doing here?" Sharin asks. "Class already ended, let's go home."

During the whole ride, I was thinking about those incidents. What I experienced last night, I pushed it aside thinking that was all my imagination. But after seeing that man I am confused between my imagination and the reality. I am already infront of my house when I burst out of my thoughts.

"Hey, you okay? You seem lost." Jayden asks.

"Ha? I'm fine. Thanks for the ride. Bye." I say as I close the car door after getting off.

"She will be soon turning sixteen. You must tell her about it."

"I know, but....." Conversation stops as I enter the main hall. My both parents are sitting and discussing something. They stop the moment they see me. They both have lines of worries on their forehead. But they change into happy smiling parents after seeing me. They are acting really suspicious.

"What were you guys talking about before I came?" I ask putting my bag down on sofa and facing them.

"My daughter, aren't you happy to see me? You never forget to give your daddy a hug." He says standing up and opening his arm to give me a hug. I hug him back. "I missed you Dad. Why do you need to go on so many business trips? You don't have time for your daughter." I say acting like daddy's little princess.

"I'll stay for long this time. You have your sixteenth birthday in two days. Let's celebrate together. alright?" He says kissing my forehead.

"This is gonna be the best birthday." I say. In excitement, I totally forget to ask them about their secret conversation.
