New beginning?

I curled myself in a ball, my canine teeth already growing. Another scream that couldn't be stopped got released sorely from my lungs.

A black wolf was standing silently across the forest bed, staring me straight in the eyes with a death glare. He looked about my age, probably older with the size of his wolf. His eyes danced around as he stepped closer to me.

I flinched, every part of me was telling me to run. This little pups aura just screams danger, danger I can't afford to get involved with.

And at that moment I ran. The weighted pounds of my paws as I ran across the forest resound everything but my pounding heart and the pair of paws following me.

Why is he following me?! I just ruined my life by being a female shifter, and now I'm going to get killed in the forest by some pup?!

What did I do in my past life to deserve this?!

Trees became a blurry mess, and I easily weaved between them, along with the beautiful forest scenery.

Soon fear and uneasiness started making me see images of what might happen to me if I get caught in my head. Of course, I had no one to go back to, but that doesn't mean that I don't want to live. I'm scared just by looking at his eyes. It will get out if he catches me and kills me because of my hair color. I'll just make it to the pack territory next to mine, so then I can buy the stuff I need without suspicion.

I started into a slow and steady jog, as I already pushed myself past the limit as I ran for my life.
