CHAPTER 5 FAKE HONEYMOON

As the days went by, Alex and I continued to pretend to be engaged. We went on fake dates, held hands in public, and even started making plans for our fake wedding.

But as we delved deeper into our fake engagement, I couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed. It was one thing to pretend to be in love, but it was another thing entirely to plan an entire wedding.

"Alex, I don't know if I can do this," I said, feeling a little panicked.

Alex looked at me with concern. "What's wrong?" he asked.

I took a deep breath. "I just feel like we're getting in over our heads. We're planning an entire wedding, and it's all just a lie."

Alex nodded understandingly. "I know it's a lot to take in," he said. "But we can do this. We just have to keep up the act until your mom gets off your back."

I sighed, feeling a little uncertain. But as I looked at Alex, I knew that I could trust him. He was my best friend, after all.

"Okay," I said, feeling a little more determined. "Let's do this."

As we continued to plan our fake wedding, I couldn't help but feel a little excited. We were going to have a beautiful ceremony, complete with flowers, music, and even a fake honeymoon.

Speaking of which, Alex turned to me one day and said, "Hey, have you thought about where we should go for our honeymoon?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Our honeymoon?" I repeated.

Alex nodded. "Yeah. We need to make it look like we're really in love, remember?"

I laughed. "Right. Sorry, I forgot."

Alex grinned. "So, where do you want to go?" he asked.

I thought for a moment. "I don't know. Somewhere romantic, I guess."

Alex's eyes lit up. "I know, just the place," he said.

And with that, he started making plans for our fake honeymoon. We would go to a beautiful beach resort, complete with crystal-clear waters, powdery white sand, and even a private villa.

As I listened to Alex's plans, I couldn't help but feel a little excited. Our fake honeymoon was going to be amazing.

But as we continued to plan our trip, I couldn't shake the feeling that maybe, just maybe, our fake engagement was starting to feel a little too real.

As we sat on the couch, looking at brochures and making plans, I felt a little flutter in my chest. It was as if we were really a couple, planning our dream honeymoon.

As I looked at Alex, I saw a glimmer of something in his eyes. Something that looked almost like real feelings.

I felt a little jolt of surprise, and I quickly looked away. What was happening here?

Was our fake engagement starting to turn into something real?

I didn't have the answers, but I knew one thing for sure: our fake honeymoon was going to be a lot more complicated than I had anticipated.
