She takes out her diary and comes across a quote written by her mother
“LET GO OF WHAT’S KILLING YOU EVEN IF IT’S KILLING YOU TO LET GO”
Nicole holds the diary close to her chest as she falls asleep recalling Anne’s words
Anne is preparing breakfast in the kitchen while Christian, Nicole’s dad is seated on the couch reading a newspaper
Nicole sits next to her father
Christian

Anne enters with breakfast
Nicole
Good morning, Anne
Anne
Morning Honey, here’s your breakfast *hands over the breakfast*
Christian
*sips on the coffee* So, has your packing started yet?
Anne
Oh hun, it’s bad manners to talk while eating
Anne
Let her finish the breakfast first
Christian
I’ve office to be at after breakfast
Christian
Nicole, I’m addressing you
Christian
Have you started packing yet?
Christian
*gets up* I’m off to work
Christian
*looks at Nicole* Make sure you pack your things in a week
Christian leaves for his office
Anne
*sympathetic* Nicole, it’s not something that we planned honey
Anne
Christian is hell bent upon this transfer because he too doesn’t want his daughter’s youth be all drowned in misery
Nicole
Would you let me go to mother’s graveyard one last time before leaving?
Nicole
I want to place some new flowers there
Anne
*smiles* Ofcourse my dear
Anne
Nothing to be thankful about *smiles and pats Nicole’s head*
Anne leaves the living room to clean the dishes
Nicole writes her mother a note
“I’m leaving the town. I know you’ve caused this transfer mother. I know you want me to be happy. I can’t promise you that I’ll be happy like before because it’s not going to be the same without you. You’ll be with me throughout my life. I LOVE YOU, you crazy lady! Don’t miss out on me too much. I’ll come to visit you again.”
Nicole’s tears start building up and she folds the letter and leaves to visit the graveyard
Nicole places the letter with a bouquet of white lilies, her mother’s favourite flowers on the grave
Nicole
*in tears* I’ll visit you soon
After spending about 2 hours at the graveyard , Nicole leaves for home

I have to say..... Anne is very nice lady. Usually FL stepmothers are very cruel and evil but Anne is the first STEPmother that I have seen who is very nice and caring and considerate. I like this change in this story 😊
