Episode 3
Nicole is home after her bitter encounter with Eddie.
She walks up the wooden staircase with her wet self and is encountered by Anne, her stepmother.
Anne
You’re so wet Nicole!
Anne
Didn’t you carry an umbrella?
Nicole
*low* I didn’t think it would rain...
Anne
( What’s wrong with her)
Anne
(She was the one to fetch the umbrella to her dad in the morning after reading weather reports)
Anne
*softly* Take a hot shower and change your clothes while I prepare my speciality, “hot chocolate” for you
Nicole
*disturbed* I’ll be fine without hot chocolate
Nicole passes Anne and goes to her room
Anne
( Haha 14 year old trying to be too modest!)
Anne goes to the kitchen to prepare the drink
Nicole opens up her wardrobe to take out clothes and she finds her diary
She goes through her diary and finds her mother’s senior year picture
Nicole
*weeping* Mom, I miss you so much
Nicole
It kills me every time when I see your pictures knowing that you’re just a memory now
Nicole
I miss the days when you’d teach me to be badass and bold
Nicole
When you’d boost up my confidence and push me into fighting for myself and my beliefs
Nicole
But now that you’re gone
Nicole
I’m left with no strength to fight no one
Nicole sits against her wardrobe and starts weeping rigorously
Nicole
*swallows the pain* Yes, Anne?
Anne
Darling, get showered quickly, I’ve something for you to see
Nicole
I’ll be there in two
Nicole wraps up her diary and puts it back into the wardrobe and goes for the shower
Anne is seated on the couch and Nicole shows up
Anne
*looking at Nicole* Oh there you are!
Anne
*handing over an envelope* Here
Anne
You read it while I bring in my delicacy *leaves*
Nicole
*opens up the envelope* A printed note?
Nicole
*goes through the letter* A transfer letter?!
Anne comes back with the hot chocolate
Anne
This is my exquisite masterpiece *hands over the mug to Nicole*
Nicole
*receives the mug* Anne, this is dad’s transfer letter
Anne
Yes, honey. This implies that we’re moving out!
Anne
I know this town means a lot to you as you’ve grown up here
Anne
But sometimes in life we’ve to let go of what’s hurting us
Anne
You cannot keep holding on to this town and the haunting memories associated with it
Anne
This transfer is something that life planned for you
Anne
You have to give light and happiness a chance
Anne
If not for yourself, consider it for your mother
Anne
I’m sure that if not anything but happiness is something that she’d want her daughter to have *puts hand over Nicole’s thigh*
