Amber woke up to silence. No guards outside her door, no maids hovering, no father checking in on her.

Just stillness.

For a moment, she forgot where she was. Then, the events of the night before hit her.

London. Eleanor Mansion. Christian.

Her chest tightened.

She threw off the thick duvet and padded to the massive window. The estate stretched endlessly, high walls and armed men stationed at the gates.

Beyond that—a world she had never seen.

A world she wanted.

*Whispering to herself* "I need to get out of here."

The soft knock on the door made her flinch.

Christrian Eleanor

*From the other side* "You have ten minutes to be downstairs for breakfast. If you’re late, I’ll come get you myself."

Amber’s jaw clenched.

Amber Theodore

"I don’t take orders."

A pause. Then, a calm, amused voice—

"Then you’re about to learn."
