One Way Ticket to the Past
Time Travelling 1
After a long day, Eliana flung herself upon her bed, surrendering to a deep and blissful slumber
The following morning, her eyes flutter open, her gaze wandering the room. As her senses awakened an unfamiliarity settled upon her. With a start she sat upright, her pulse quickening. Rising swiftly she crossed to the window, where her breath caught at the sight beyond.
The street below bustled with figures clad in curious grab. The women graceful as willow branches, donned flowing gown that brushed the earth, their body laced tightly to shape their forms. Some sported knee-length surcoats over delicate chemises, with intricate embroidery adorning their hems. A few bore finely crafted wimples or veils, framing their face modestly yet elegantly
The men were equally peculiar in their attire, wearing loose tunic of fine linen or wool, cinched at the waist with belts from which pouches and tools dangled. Over their shirts, many wore doublet or jerkins, some accompanied by long horse clung to their legs , while sturdy leather boot completed their look.
Realization struck her as if a thunder had split the heavens.
Eliana
Have I travelled through time?
Eliana
How come I to be here?
She wandered, her thought racing. Her hands flew to the necklace that always rested near her heart, a talisman of comfort and familiarity
Excitement swirled within her, a heady mix of wander and apprehension. She turned to a wardrobe flinging open it's door, her eyes alighting upon a well-worn saddlebag nestled within.
A spark of adventure igniting in her chest
