As they left the restaurant, Zoe turned to Leon. "Hey, can you take me to your place? I've never seen it before," she said with a smile.

Leon hesitated, but before he could respond, Zoe's friends appeared. "Hey guys, mind if we join you?" one of them asked.

Leon was a bit overwhelmed but nodded. "Sure, why not?"

The group started walking together, chatting about various things. They passed a cute little shop filled with all sorts of accessories, from jewelry to aesthetic products. Zoe's eyes twinkled.

"Wow, look at all this stuff!" she exclaimed. "I love it!"

They went inside, and Zoe's attention was immediately drawn to a beautiful earrings. She picked it up and admired it, but her face fell when she saw the price tag. "I don't have enough money," she said quietly, putting it back with an hesitation.

Leon noticed her disappointment. While the others were busy looking around, he bought the earrings and slipped it into his pocket with gift paper wrapped.

Eventually, they reached Leon's house. His heart raced as everyone asked if they could come in. He wasn't used to having so many people over, but he managed a nervous smile and said, "Okay, come on in."

The group spent the afternoon at Leon's place, playing games, listening to music, and chatting. Despite his initial apprehension, Leon found himself enjoying their company. As the evening approached, everyone started to leave, thanking Leon for giving them a wonderful time to spend with.

"Thanks, Leon! It was fun," Zoe said as she headed toward the door.

"Wait, Zoe," Leon called out. "Can you stay for a minute?"

Zoe looked curious but nodded. Once everyone else had left, Leon took a deep breath and pulled out the gift he had bought. "I saw this while looking at the shop we went." he said, handing it to her. "I wanted you to have it as you are my best friend now."

"Don't open it now. Open when you reach your home."

Zoe's eyes widened in surprise. "Leon, you didn't have to do that!"

"I wanted to," he replied, a small smile on his lips. "But promise me you'll open it when you get home, okay?"

Zoe nodded, her eyes shimmering.

She gave him a quick hug before heading out the door. Leon was shocked due to the hug. He watched her leave, feeling a warmth in his chest. He had stepped out of his comfort zone today, and it had to been worth it.

Zoe on the way home, thought about what will be inside it. She had no idea what will Leon would have bought. While thinking, she reached her home.

She quickly ran inside and went straight into her room.

With a huge gasp, Zoe started to open the box. She was amazed by the gift which she saw.

She said, "It’s the earring that I wanted in the shop. How did he know I wanted it?"

Zoe tried it on and liked it so much. It could be the start on a new beginning. Both Zoe and Leon thought about it.
