chapter 4: I'll Be Here

After what happened yesterday, the two were a bit shy to talk, even in chat. They both said goodnight to each other and immediately went to sleep, but Ayane couldn't sleep because she was thinking about what Seita said.

The sun has risen to signal the new beginning of Friday. One of those days that almost everyone is bored. Seita didn't want to pack to leave early but suddenly Ayane calls him on his cellphone.

Seita was immediately nervous because of the unexpected call from Ayane, he didn't know what to do and immediately answered the call.

"Are you coming in early, Seita?." Ayane's asks

"yes, I'm leaving early today" Seita answered but suddenly Ayane ended the call.

Seita was shocked by what happened and asked himself what the heck just happened.

Seita was leaving to go to school when suddenly someone called him at the gate. He was surprised to see Ayane standing in front of their house.

"what are you doing here?" Seita asked.

"Nothing, i just want to walk to school with you" Ayane answered.

"ohhh, are you sure?" Seita once again asked.

"Yes indeed" Ayane answered.

After that they started walking to school, while they were walking they passed a convenience store. Seita noticed that Ayane was holding her stomach so she wondered if she was hungry.

"are you hungry?, we could stop by and buy something to eat if you want" Seita worriedly ask.

"seriously? you'll do it for me? you are the best!" Ayane answered in disbelief.

"well yeah, if you really are hungry. If not then we could continue walking" Seita replied.

"No, please come to the store and buy something I can eat. Please?" Ayane was pleased.

"fine, but under one condition." Seita said.

"what is it? just please buy me food" Ayane once again pleased.

"come with me. I don't really but anything at the store so I'll probaly be nervous all the time when i go alone to buy you food. So you should come with me instead" Seita said.

"sure!" Ayane replied.

The two bought something to eat and while they were eating they didn't notice the time. Seita looked at his phone and was surprised to see that they were about to be late.

Seita immediately told Ayane and they ran away in no time. Because of the extreme heat, it is easier to drain more and more energy as you use it, so they were immediately exhausted but they did not give up and the two continued to run. The two arrived at school but because they were so tired, they just walked towards their classroom. They were already in the hallway when Ayane suddenly became dizzy and lost consciousness, but luckily Seita was there to save her from falling.

"Are you okay Ayane?" Seita asked worriedly.

Seita immediately rushed Ayane to the clinic so that Ayane could be checked and rested. It was felt that because of the extreme heat and fatigue, Ayane's body immediately went into shock due to her dizziness. The nurse assigned Seita to watch over Ayane until she regained consciousness. After a few hours Ayane regained consciousness, Seita was happy to see that Ayane was okay.

"woh! You woke up! finally! I've been worried about you." Seita said.

"hmm yeah but i still feel weak, maybe i need more rest." Ayane replied.

"is that so? Alright, I'll leave first so I won't disturb you" Seita said so he won't distract and make her feel uncomfortable.

Seita was about to leave when Ayane suddenly grabbed his hand.

"please, come here next to me first, I'm afraid to be alone here.." Ayane said in fear.

"Don't worry, I'm here" Seita said with a smile to comfort Ayane.
