He had a younger sister named Gemini, and the two were inseparable; Aries always kept a watchful eye on her wherever they went. Their father served in the military, while their mother stayed home to care for them.

Aries felt a pang in his heart. “I believe that too. But I also believe that we shouldn’t let fear hold us back from what we truly want.”

She turned to him, her eyes searching his. “What do you mean?”

Taking a deep breath, Aries decided to take a leap of faith again. “I mean… I care about you, Athena. More than just as a friend. I’ve felt this way for a long time, but I didn’t want to ruin what we have.”

Athena’s expression softened, and for a moment, the air between them crackled with unspoken possibilities. “I care about you too, Aries. But with everything happening, I just… I don’t want to complicate things.”

Aries nodded, understanding her hesitation. “I get it. But maybe we can face whatever comes together? As more than friends?”

Athena smiled gently, her heart racing. “Maybe we can. But let’s take it slow. We have to be ready for whatever happens next.”
