The first phase: 4. Gather

Someday in 1985.

On Olga's baptism day, it is her first time in this body to see her parents in such formal and luxurious clothes.  Mama and Papa are so good-looking.

She barely interacts with the court in her first life, so Olga has hardly any impressions about it.

She has to accept that the Russian court is luxuriant, more and more. Most of the people that are standing here have that much jewellery, sparkling, on them just to witness a newborn being baptized.

The rayless memories fly through her head. The difficult living situation that her family has to live in their last year.

Let's take a break, Olga. I was born for only a few days.

After Olga is baptized, they take the family picture. This is the tradition for royal families. It is tiring for a baby to stand in a form endlessly. Fortunately, the infant manages to do that perfectly, she thought. Both of her parent's faces were radiant through the whole process. Her father and mother are busy as leaders of the country; her father just came on the reign, so they have little time that they can spend for her. Olga stays with the nanny most of the time. Her mother is still recovering from her birth, so she still gets a chance to see her mother more frequently than her father, but she also has to complete her missions as a future Empress. And Olga enjoys her peaceful times.

A few months go by; besides Olga's baptism, Christmas is the second special event that she attended, the big event that gathered numerous Duke and Grand Duchess, some of whom Olga had never met. There is nothing special about her life currently; as an infant, she just continues her routine of sleeping and eating. Aunt Xenia would occasionally bring her Irina to her and the two would play together, along with Mikhail and Olga. Due to his Navy service, Uncle George appears to be the busiest of his siblings, and Olga can rarely see his face.

Olga finally gets to meet her great-grandmother from Denmark - Queen Louise, for the first time.

Basically, it is just a process of complimenting the children and taking pictures with them, then staying and playing with the infants. Queen Louis is old, and her health has some problems. Olga heard somewhere that Queen Louis is deaf in her last years. Not sure about that information. Olga's impression about her great-grandmother was that she is a quiet person, just like Alix; Louise and Maria do have a striking resemblance. Might be somewhat in their character too; she can't see it yet.

Her great-grandmother relationship is better with Xenia than any of her nieces and nephews. Xenia would come to see her most of the time.

As she stays here for a few weeks, Olga knows she is getting to the mother and daughter's secret from the conversation between Maria Feodorova and Queen Louise. It was confidential between them; they don't want the guard and nanny to hear it; there is only Olga in the room. Unfortunately, Olga is not an ordinary baby.

It is not like she wants to sneak at other's mysteries; it just happens.

Even in her last year, and partially deaf, Queen Louise is still burning the ambitions.

- There are too many German in the court\, is it\, Maria?

- It is\, mother. - Maria tiredly answers her mother. -  I also don't like it. But Nicky is the current reign now\, he was not listen to me; so I can not do anything about it. - Olga thinks her grandma is too bored for this topic.

- You can't? You are his mother!—Queen slapped on the table.- You should have taught him; that he should have forbidden the German from stepping into the court! - Queen Louise sounds infuriated.

Forbid what? Olga question. Forbid the German? Why would her father have to do that? Alexandra is also German, right?

- This is Russia\, mother.- The Dowager answer.- How can women have their influence in the court? Besides\, Nicky is not the only one who made the decision.

- But he is still having the most power within the court\, right? - Queen Louise is extremely disappointed with her daughter. - You should have influenced Nicky when he was young. You were close with him\, is that right? Everything should be done when the King has not had his own idea.

Maria Feodorova doesn't want to continue this topic with her mother anymore; this is Russia, not Denmark; she can not do everything as she wants. The Empress and Grand Duchess are merely for show; the Russian court actually limits the majority of female influence in the royal family. How can she have done such terrible things to her beloved Nicky? Maria could never.

Queen Louis does not want to stop her grumbling about her anti-German perspective and wants her grandson to pursue her, the complaint conversation going on forever.

Olga sort of understands the reasons behind her closeness with her German cousins. How can she stay close with her Danish relatives in such a situation?

Her grandmother was just tired; after letting Queen Louise go, Maria came to her granddaughter to say goodbye to Olga and then leave.

Olga wonders what her grandmother would do in this situation.

After her great-grandmother is her maternal aunt, Elisabeth. Aunt Ella is especially close with her family; she has a close relationship with her mama and is married to Grand Duke Sergei, her father's uncle. Elisabeth herself is soft in her personality. Whenever Olga saw Elisabeth's face, she was amazed by her beauty. Indeed, her mother is a dazzling beauty, but her aunt seems even more gorgeous.

Olga is just playing alone in the carriage; she is now around 5 months old.

- You are massive\, isn't it? - She hears Elle's gracious voice.

That's not the word used for an infant! Olga angry,

- I'm sorry. - Elisabeth giggles. She then softly holds Olga in her arm\, giving her smile and plays around with her. This is not her first niece\, but whenever she holds these newborns\, she always feels emotional. - May God protect you\, Olga.

After meeting at the court, Alexandra instantly comes to see her daughter and her sister. Even being in the same royal family, Alix and Elisabeth barely meet each other.

- It has been a long time\, Ella.- They greet each other\, hugging. - Are you good?

- It is wonderful\, Alix. I'm glad that you also gave birth to such a healthy baby.- Alix looks at her daughter\, touching her softly.

- Great to hear\, sister. I have written a letter for our grandma. After our coordination\, Nicholas and I will soon bring Olga to Britain\,-  said Alix.

- Careful.- Elisabeth smiles. Grandma would love her.

- I hope she will.- Alix giggles. She then takes her daughter into her arm. They will wait until the evening\, that Nicholas comeback to the Palace\, then they will have their dinner together.
