The leaked truth

I absolutely loved telling people stories. I loved telling crime stories to be specific. My all time favourites were about a man who killed his wife and fed rat poison to his children. There's a part two for that story; the same man broke off his new girlfriends fingernails, toenails and plucked her lovely blonde hair one by one. He repeated this every single day till she committed suicide because he threatened to kill her parents if she left him or tried calling the police. Heck, the guy even dared to mark his initials on the women he trapped with a long, sharp knife, which had a blood red handle.

I kept saying these "true crime stories" till I snapped back into reality. I was infront of many people. I thought that I was telling these stories to my children. But no.. there were many people. Elderly people. They did not have friendly faces... they looked at me with a face expressing fear and disgust towards me. They were dressed in suits and... uniforms. Police uniforms. I looked down and realised that I was tied to a chair with thick ropes. I looked forward in disbelief as one officer said;

"I have never seen a person who admitted his own crimes this easily."

The neighbour upstairs

I twisted and turned. Me and my sister Katie, couldn't sleep. It was 9:55 when our Mom tucked us in to sleep. Me and Katie talked for a long time...about ghosts,our neighbour upstairs and stuff like that. It felt like we talked for about two hours,so I checked the time,it was 12:30 already! And that's when we heard it. A \*thump\* on our ceiling. This kept on repeating Katie was quite short tempered. She was annoyed after fifteen minutes of that disturbing sound. I tried to convince her that it was just our neighbour playing with a ball or something. What's she doing playing at this hour? Asked Katie as she turned to the other side. Katie soon fell asleep.

2 in the morning, when i was just about to fall asleep, I heard a far more annoying noise. Now, my neighbour was moving furniture around. I repeat, 2 IN THE MORNING.

This went on for weeks. Katie and I barely slept. One day, Katie had enough and asked mom about our neighbour. "What do you mean Katie, the apartment upstairs is empty... We don't have a neighbour up there." My Mom replied.

The cycle that never seemed to end.

Amy laughed out loud when she saw an instagram post. Her eyes scanned the same sentence over and over again since she didn't believe what she saw.

"We can see how we die!"

She clicked on a website link that was given below. It looked extremely suspicious but she was too curious to ignore it.

She later found out that she only have to watch the channel named 999. It's number was 999 as well. Amy laughed even louder as she walked to her living room.

Even though she was sure that it was fake, she still wanted to check it out. She pressed the button labeled "9" thrice. She saw a blank screen. After that, she saw a man who was walking towards an apartment.

He held a knife in one hand and with the other, he opened the door slowly. Amy was scared because she soon realised that it was her apartment door that the man was trying to open. She ran to a room and hid there. She called the police. She didn't say what happened. She gave them the address and hung up, followed by a blood curdling scream.

~ A few minutes later ~

The police officers barged in with a loud noise. Many officers began searching the place. One of them stopped in the living room and stared at the TV in horror. Another officer came and saw him. "Did you find anyone or-"

He stopped there. The man got a glance of the TV screen. "How could someone…" he said while he watched the TV screen, carefully. It was Amy. Her eyes were just a hollow space overflowing with blood. Her body laid flat with a puddle of blood below.

Humans being the curious creatures they are, tried the same thing in their own homes.. not expecting what was going to happen next. It was a cycle that never seemed to end.
