From that day forward, Daniel and I began to meet more frequently. Every time we saw each other, he always had a kind word and a warm smile reserved for me, which made me feel very good. “I will always be here for you, Elizabeth,” he said with a smile. “Now, how about I make some breakfast while you finish feeding Lucas?”

The afternoon came quickly, and before I knew it, we were already at the clinic for our medical appointment. Daniel helped me carry the twins, and we were soon in the waiting room, surrounded by other mothers and their little ones. I felt a mixture of nervousness and excitement as we waited to be called.

After the appointment, Daniel and I returned to the apartment with the twins.
