It was already time for dinner when the two woke up after sleeping on the sofa in Atlas's office. The first one to open his eyes was Lyle, who was confused about where the coat that was covering him came from. His eyes wandered to Atlas who had his eyes shut tightly.
Lyle watched Atlas as if he was a piece of art only found in the most popular museum. As if Atlas was a statue sculpted by the Gods.
Lyle looked away, scared that if he continues to stare, he might fall for Atlas's undeniable charm. He stood up and quickly put the coat on the sofa when he realized it was from the person he's been staring at for the past few seconds. When he was about to walk away, Atlas reached out and held on to Lyle's left hand.
"Don't leave. Stay with me." Atlas said, rubbing his eyes with his other hand, obviously still sleepy.
His actions made Lyle feel flustered, which in turn caused him to turn pinkish.
"Why should I stay?" he asked.
Atlas did not talk, as if he was also unaware of the reason why he does not want Lyle to leave. When he could finally think of an answer – or more like excuse, he finally spoke. "We are not yet done with our plans of talking. Since it's already time for dinner, we should go to a restaurant, no? We have a lot to talk about, don't we?"
Speechless, Lyle just stood there, thinking of what to say until his thinking was disturbed by Atlas standing and taking the coat that he took off earlier.
"What are you waiting for?" he asked. "We should go now, there are not that many nice restaurants left that we can go to."
Because of what Atlas said, Lyle decided to just accept his fate and follow him wherever. They both walked out the room and then got in the elevator. Everyone kept staring at the both of them like they were animals in a zoo. Confused, Lyle followed their gaze and looked at Atlas's hand, which was still holding on to him. Lyle swiftly took his hand back and covered his face which is currently turning pinkish again.
The elevator stopped. Lyle's hand was again pulled away by the one and only Atlas who was clearly aware of the effects of his hand holding.
Lyle blushed even more while he and Atlas walked quickly to the exit, with everyone staring at them with wide eyes.
They got out of the building and got in Atlas's car. Before Lyle could even say anything, Atlas beat him to it. "Did you see the way they stared?" Atlas asked while laughing.
The laughter made Lyle feel amused as he remembered the faces that everyone had as they watched the two of them run hand in hand.
They both burst out laughing like maniacs in the car before silently wiping the tears in their eyes.
They smiled at each other like mischievous children who succeeded in pranking someone, before Atlas turned the car engine on.
"So you aren't uncomfortable with me anymore?" he asked, tapping on the steering wheel.
Lyle answered with a smile, "I guess not."
Those were the only words they needed to hear. Atlas started driving to a restaurant with Lyle, chuckling to himself every once in a while whenever he recalled the foolish things that they were doing earlier.
