Episode 5

Zulema De la Puente entered the penthouse, that place where she was going to start her married life with Javier. It seemed so strange seen at that moment, it felt like something unreal. After that first sensation, she observed carefully, it seemed that some things in the place had changed; it was in a way painful to be there, now that her whole perfect life had fallen apart, five years of her life, giving her sincere love to a man who at the slightest difficulty separated her from his side without hesitation.

Mathias had not come in years, the last time he did, was when he wanted to get rid of all the things of Fabiola, his previous girlfriend, the one who had died in a car accident in the company of another man, with whom she also had a parallel relationship and he had never realized it. He didn't want to live in that place, which reminded him of her, nor had he found the courage to return, that's why he had entrusted his sister with its care, but he had realized that she had taken it as if it were her property.

"May I use the facilities? I need to dry off a bit," Zulema asked.

"Have you left some clothes in this place? You could use them to change," said Mathias picking up a bra from the floor and showing it to her.

"That's not mine, (Mathias dropped it immediately) I didn't live with him, so I haven't left any clothes; I'll look for a clean robe, and use the dryer, if you'll allow me," Zulema said.

"Do what you want, then tell me what your things are, and tell me where you want me to send them," Mathias expressed, Zulema looked at him and gave him a smile, which lit up her face, that important CEO could not avoid staring at her dumbfounded, he never understood how a woman like her, could have been fixed on the cynical Javier.

Zulema went to dry off, while Mathias walked around the place, it was inevitable to realize that his nephew had turned his penthouse into a bachelor apartment for his adventures, and had made no effort to hide it; coincidentally he had gone, because he wanted to put other apartments in that building for sale, for some reason on that occasion he did not want to use his intermediaries, but thanks to that, he had accidentally seen Zulema getting wet under the makeshift rain.

Mathias went to the drinks bar, apparently his nephew had stocked it very well, he took out of the cold bar what was necessary; and prepared a Cosmopolitan like an expert bartender.

Zulema was embarrassed, but maybe it was the only way to recover her things and she really needed them, so still timid she came out with the robe well tied, because the only thing she had dry was her underwear, and went straight to put the rest in the dryer, while she saw where Javier had put all the things she had bought.

Seeing her walk from one side to the other, taking care not to show anything more than necessary, made Mathias laugh, despite her attempts it was inevitable not to notice her curves, "you really are an idiot, Javier," he thought to himself; he took his drink in one gulp and looked away, he had to be a gentleman he told himself, but if she gave him the opportunity he would not hesitate to have her in his arms.

Zulema went to the different spaces, finally in the secondary room she found some of the things she had bought, without wanting to she tripped and gave a cry of pain, because of the twist in her ankle, it had not been something really serious, but she had difficulty getting to her feet.

Zulema's cry alerted Mathias, who immediately went to find out what was happening, he found her on the floor rubbing her ankle.

"I'm sorry, I'm a bit clumsy sometimes," said Zulema.

"We have to put something on it, or it will end up completely swollen," said Mathias, as he approached and lifted her in his arms.

Zulema was surprised, while she only let him lift her up and take her to the bed, that aroma that emanated from that man was a mixture of musk, sandalwood, agarwood, incense and patchouli was so penetrating, powerful and extremely sophisticated that it seemed to intoxicate her, looking at him more closely she could not deny that Mathias Belmonte was a really very handsome man.
