chapter 5

"Hey dude get a bag of chips while you in there." Josh shouted to Alex who was in the kitchen. Josh Sat back on the couch throwing his head up causing his curly brown locks to reveal a pair of emerald green eyes.

Alex soon came back and they continued their game.

The next day Josh walked into the school building and was greeted by everyone he passed. Unlike Alex, Josh was more of the social type, who could make friends with anyone. His great personality and charming looks also attracted a lot of people.

Josh walked into class and took a seat in the back of the class where he belonged. “Hey man I heard the new kids are super-hot. Are you gonna make a move on one of them?” One of his classmates asked.

“Of course, be it man or woman there’s no person I can’t make fall in love with me.” Josh said in jokingly tone. But this was true; anyone josh tried to seduce always fell for his charismatic charms.

This is one of the reasons why Alex is his only true friend. Alex was the only one who knew how Josh was before.

Flashback**************************

“Well would you look who it is, isn’t It Josh the little ugly duckling.”

“Oh no is he feeling scared, well ugly people aren’t supposed to feel scared.” They said as they swung a punch at seven year old Josh.He only accepted these rude gestures because he knew they were true.

He sat there quivering in the corner as the bullies continued to make fun of him. He was too small and frail to fight back against them so he just sat there waiting for them to finish.

After many beatings and crude remarks, they left the tiny boy all alone to cry in the corner. He didn’t want to go home, he knew his mother would worry and the last thing he needed was that because she already had so much on her plate since she was a single mother.

“Hey are you ok!” came a distant voice. Josh just ignored it and buried his face in his knees. The voice was louder till he heard it right next to him. He looked up and saw a boy his age that had golden blonde hair and blue eyes.

“Hey are you ok, you look really hurt. Come with me.” Josh just looked up at the cute little boy. “Why are you talking to me, I’m ugly you shouldn’t talk to ugly people.”

The small blonde just ignored what he said and reached into his pocket

“You want some candy I’ve got a bit too much and my mum says I should share with a friend.”

Josh didn’t comprehend why he was talking to him but he liked his company. He accepted the candy after seeing the boy’s shining expression.

“Hey what’s your name.” the blonde asked while helping Josh stand up, patting him clean. “J-Josh, my name is Josh.”

“What a nice name, my names Alexander but my friends call me Alex. I still don’t have any friends yet so do you want to be my friend.” Josh felt like he was going to be blind if he continued to look directly at the shining boy.

“And I don’t think you’re ugly, anyways do you want to come to my house, I have a ton of toys we could play with.” Josh just smiled and that was the first time he smiled for someone other than his mother

“I would love too.”

End of flashback********************

Josh snapped out of his thoughts when he heard his teacher enter the classroom. Josh lazily looked up to see four very attractive males stand in front of the class.

Josh wanted to look away but they were so eye catching but one caught josh’s attention more.

He wore his silky black hair in a ponytail with some hair almost civering his dark onyx eyes that sparked mystery in him. He looked so calm yet so attractive.

This bugged Josh “Oh no, the last thing we needed was four attractive guys to come steal all the ladies, especially Mr. Ponytail there. He looks like a real smooth guy.” Josh thought.

“Ok everyone today we will be working in groups of fours, make sure to treat the new students well. I will be assigning the groups.”

After minutes of moving desks, everyone was in their assigned groups.

Josh was fortunate enough to be in a group with two of the new kids, one of which was Mr. ponytail. The other one was a very tall, very muscular boy that had a scar that ran across his face. His hair was black and quite short.

They sat opposite of Josh and another female student that wouldn’t stop blushing at the fact that she was sitting by three attractive males. They got their assignments and began the work.

“Since we’re all in the same group we might as well get to know each other’s names.” Josh said trying to break the thick silence.

“Let’s start with you big guy, what’s your name.” Josh asked teasingly gaining himself a cold glare. All he did was growl at Josh fiercely.

“His name is Hunter and I’m Alaster.” Those words came out of a pair of pink lips like a sweet melody. His deep and smooth voice that felt like honey to the ears could seduce anyone.

“Nice names, I’m Josh and this is Jane.” Josh said coolly as he looked down at his book not even sparing a glance to their direction.

Truth is Josh was scared to look up and fall into Alaster’s trap. He looked at the girl next to him that couldn’t take her eyes off of Alaster.

“Well it is very nice to meet you.” Alaster said flashing a smile that could cure any disease. Josh quickly looked away as he felt his heart race.

The bell eventually rang and Josh quickly got up, left his class and met up with Alex in the hallway.

“Hey dude, you’re so lucky you had two babes join your class.” Josh sighed “We only got four good looking dudes to steal all the ladies.” He said as the picture of Alaster popped up in his head.

Then all of a sudden a hot scarlet popped out of nowhere and started talking to Alex in a rude tone. Josh looked at his friend knowing his  temper laid a hand on his shoulder trying to calm him down.

Alex eventually left taking the three strangers with him. One of which caught Josh’s attention. He had snow white hair and seemed to keep his eyes plastered onto Alex.

Josh quickly brushed it off when he heard a familiar voice call out to him. Josh turned around to see Alaster standing next to him, his muscular and lean but tall figure towering over him.

“You forgot these papers on your desk.” He said calmly, his plump lips shaped into a smile. Josh took the papers and gave a cold smile before walking away from the prince charming behind him. Josh found it distasteful how he was so good-looking without even trying.

“These new kids are so weird.” He thought as he got his books out of his locker. “Maybe they’re just foreign.” Josh concluded before he went for his next class.

The bell for the next class eventually rang and Josh came plopping down on the seat next to Alex. He noticed three new faces; they were the ones from earlier.

“Hey man are these the guys you were talking about.” Alex whispered. Josh sighed “Yeah dude, those stupid’s getting all the girls’ attention.”

“What’s up with these kids this semester” Josh thought.

The next day josh met up with Alex in the hallway “dang those new kids are freaky man.” Alex said sounding agitated.

“Yeah Jennifer tried to approach one of those guys but was completely ignored.” Josh said “Especially the guy with the white hair.” Josh continued as he remembered him staring at Alex.

Josh looked around then whispered to Alex “I heard they’re all ghosts.” Alex just shoved Josh away stating how stupid that claim was.

“With that aside wanna go play some video games after school?” Josh asked brushing off the topic. “Cant, gotta pick Jamie up from school.” Josh was a bit bummed because he had nothing else to do afterschool.

They both continued to the cafeteria, Josh couldn’t wait for the pizza special. They both grabbed their lunches and took a seat on the tables

“Dude look.” Alex looked to where Josh was pointing; it was the new kids and they were all drinking tomato juice. “Alex looked at Josh, confused.

“What exactly am I supposed to be looking at?” Alex questioned. “Look they’re all drinking tomato juice again! I bet they’re Zombies, I never see them eating any normal food anyways. It must be liquefied brains.”

Alex had just about enough of Josh’s nonsense. He just stood up walked away.

“Hey! Alex, don’t leave me.” 

Now Josh was left alone on the table. “Stupid Alex can’t even get a joke.” He said with a pouty expression. He looked up at the new kids and noticed that had all dispersed.

The white head left the cafeteria and that made Josh wonder if he was following Alex.

“Hello there, I see we meet again.”

Josh’s head quickly turned recognizing that voice anywhere. “What are you doing here Alaster?” Josh asked not hiding the distaste in his words.

“Am I not allowed to greet my fellow classmate?” he said calmly staring into Josh's emerald eyes  with his dark onyx ones. “Whatever, I need to go take care of something.”

Josh said as he stood up to leave. He could feel Alaster’s eyes burn holes in his back as he walked out of the cafeteria.

“Great thanks to him I didn’t get to finish my pizza.” Josh said annoyed. He continued to stroll the hallways when he saw the white haired guy again, and he was carrying a self-conscious Alex.

Josh quickly rushed to the two as they entered the nurse’s office. “What happened to Alex, why is he like this?” Josh questioned but was never replied. He only placed Alex on the bed and left the room.

Josh wanted to follow him to further question him but he was worried about his friends condition.

The nurse eventually came in and treated Alex and he soon woke up.

Josh couldn’t contain his worry and only got teased by Alex, but he was glad that his friend was ok. He didn’t want to ask Alex since he was still worried that he would be weak.

He had to lie to Alex and say he had an asthma attack (Alex does have asthma though.) the nurse had told him he suffered from shock, Josh wanted to know what Alex saw but was scared to bring it up. He knew

he wouldn’t get anything from that white haired dude either.

"I’ll just have to ask him later."

*Hey this was a bit different, this chapter was basically about Josh. I wanted to make this cause I thought Josh was such an important charecter and I just love him >.<)~ Plus I wanted to touch deeper on the romance between him and Alaster. This was really a long chapter but I plan to make longer chapters.
