Love Me!

Love Me!

Chapter 1

"Is killing really that fun?" I asked myself while looking at the newspaper, the headline reading, 'Parents murdered by their 17 year old daughter'. It's kind of messed up, I can only imagine how bad her parents must be for her to do that or maybe she was just a psychopath.

But that doesn't concern me. What concerns me more is the case I am solving. I am a detective, not a famous one. I can't solve cases like the 'The dancing men' like Sherlock Holmes even though he is a fictional character.

It's kind of embarrassing to see a fictional detective better than yourself. Well, the case I am currently solving is about a boy who went missing out of nowhere, Jonghan. He is a 17 year old boy who was very lively and happy all the time, or at least that's what his parents and friends say. But, nobody knows themselves better than anyone else, even for parents or very close friends.

He lived in a small neighborhood, the population over there was not too much nor too less. It was the perfect town. He was last seen leaving his house at midnight, already suspicious because what could he possibly have to do at 12 at night?

A lot of people were making rumours that he ran away, or that he went to a party and something might have happened there. I don't believe in stuff until I see or experience them myself, if you tell me that I can sleep for 2 whole days I will test it myself first before bluntly believing the fact.

I should introduce myself as well, as I already said that I am a detective. Believe it or not I am not famous. My name is Min-ho. I love solving cases since I grew up watching Sherlock Holmes, I love horror, and murder mystery. It's always is intriguing to see many different types of ways people kill or kidnap, it's always different which is interesting.

As a good detective, I should most probably start investigating and ask questions to victims parents. It has been 1 week since Jonghan disappeared without any trace. Which is very weird, yes, most of the time the victim is always found with a relative so it's important that I gather enough information about his personality, family.

On 14th April, I decided to go to Jonghan's house. He lived in Daegu which is pretty far away from Seoul but I can't do anything about that now can I. So in the morning I woke up early, or at least tried to wake up early. I took a shower, brushed my teeth and ate breakfast then packed some stuff for my venture.

I took the train traveling to Daegu from Seoul, it was a trip of 1 hour and 40 minutes. It was rather boring to just wait, so I thought of reading book on the train. Obviously books of Sherlock Holmes. Just after half hour throughout the journey, another guy came up and sat in the empty seat besides me. I didn't mind it of course. I loved interacting with people, can you tell that I am an extrovert?

I couldn't help but take small glances at him, he had dark black hair and brown eyes. Good fashion sense too. I might sound like a crazy person but he was handsome, so handsome I wanted to ask him for his number but I don't have the courage to do so. I tried to focus on my book again. It was kind of hard for me to focus since he kept glancing over at me too. I got nervous, I mean I was reading Sherlock Holmes. He definitely thinks I am weird.
