Zed?
Merrily
As I took my first step inside the classroom, I felt my classmates' eyes boring a hole through my soul. Everyone was quiet, and my eyes wandered at two girls gossiping and looking at me.
Merrily
I looked down and made my way towards an empty seat at the corner of the classroom. I glanced down at my outfit—wondering if I looked okay or not.
A woman who looked to be in her late twenties entered the classroom with a bag drooping down her back. Her gaze was fierce and she looked extremely intimidating.
"Everyone present?" An authoritative voice echoed throughout the classroom as the woman spoke.
No one uttered a word. No one dared to confirm her words.
Daniz
"Speak or I will mark everyone here absent."
"Yes, ma'am. I checked the attendance sheet, and it appeared as though everyone is present." A confident male voice spoke.
Merrily
I turned my head towards the source of the voice and saw a boy my age who was wearing glasses. He looked handsome.
Daniz
"Zed, correct? Thank you."

Daniz
"Let us start this day with us introducing ourselves. I am the vice-principal of this school, Daniz De Castilla, temporarily acting as a teaching principal as a substitute to your teacher who couldn't come because of personal reasons."
Merrily
I nodded and wrote down her name on my notebook. The ink smudged against my hand, making me sigh. I grabbed my handkerchief from my pocket and wiped my finger.
Merrily
When I looked up, I saw Ms. Daniz glaring at me with eyes that could kill. It made me freeze and look away.
Daniz
"You there. Introduce yourself."
Merrily
I gulped down my uneasiness and made my way towards the center of the classroom. I smiled softly, thinking back to my practice in the bathroom.
Merrily
"My name is Merrily, age 13, and I aspire to become a psychologist one day."
Daniz
"... Good. Go back to your seat."
Merrily
I nodded and did as she said. My classmates' eyes were staring at me the whole time, and I felt as though they were judging every breath and movement I make.
Merrily
As I sat back down, I felt my hands tremble and cold sweat dribble down my forehead. I really am not used to this.
Zed
"Name's Zed, 13, and I wish to become an architect."
After saying that, Zed made his way back to his seat. The rest of the class followed into introducing themselves one by one, each having unique dreams they wish to become one day.
And just like that, the first day went by in a flash.
