"I wasn't hurt but I'm really crying! Maybe I'm just happy that Gray is safe.

"Damn it! Answer me, Amber!"

I shook my head and wiped my face with the hand holding the gun. He was surprised to see the gun and quickly took it from my hand.

"Get rid of this thing," he said and threw the gun on the bed. "Are you really okay, Amber? Crap! Seeing you cry makes me want to kill someone just like those monsters do!"

I took a deep breath. "G-Gray, C-Cooler," I said in broken words.

He wiped away my tears. "Yeah, he's my elder brother. I'm sorry about it. I didn't know this would happen."

"Is it true that you're one of them?" I asked and he just bowed his head.

"Yes, I have my real father's blood in my veins but there's no way I'll be like them."

I felt sorry for Gray. They have contrasting principles with his father and brother.

"I've already asked Cronus to free us because I'll never go with him. I'd rather be with my adoptive father. He's good to me and treats me like a real child. Unlike him, he wants me to follow in his footsteps and that's bullsh*t," he said angrily.

God, what a mess we're in! I never imagined myself in this mess.

"You look so tired, let's not talk about it now, it's already 3 A.M. Let's sleep and forget about all of this tomorrow," he said and let me lie down on the bed.

I lay down and still cried a little. Gray lay down beside me and continued wiping away my tears.

"The first time I was brought here, I thought you were Zeus Because of this room. It's so like you," I said while scanning the surroundings even though I was lying down.

"This room is for me. I was brought here before. When was the first time you were brought here?" he asked and faced me. Our faces were just inches apart.

"It was during the masquerade party that we attended with Khael," I replied softly.

He bit his lower lip. "Just as I thought. You were cold and distant to me back then. Well, sleep now, Princess. Let's live a normal life tomorrow. Good night." He leaned closer and kissed my forehead.

By that kiss of good night in the morning, I was assured that I'll be safe with him.
