Episode 5 Isaac

'Beep beep...beep beep...beep beep'

I stood up before even opening my eyes.

I felt heavy and weary, but my body moved with high speed on its own. Grabbing my jacket and rushing out of the room.

As a firefighter, every nap is an opportunity that should not be taken for granted, and I learned it the hard way. Without even a glance at my reflection, I knew there were some serious eye bugs going on under my eyes. This job is tidies, but the adrenaline killed it by far.

As i rushed through the busy hallways, my co-worker and brother from another mother followed behind me.

"Fourth shift of the day, huh?" Jack says while putting on his inflammable jacket.

"Glad I got a 4 minute nap, though," and to be honest, that's a good damp thing to be proud about.

"Couldn't get any luckier than you, man," he rubbes a hand on his face. "I was on a call with sabby," he says with desperation in his eyes.

From as long as we've known each other, since the Canadian fire forces academy training programme, Jack had never been lucky with the ladies. Not that he was ugly or anything. We all know women are head over hills for men in uniforms (mostly for their build). However, dating is never so easy in this line of operation.

Though my buddy is a nice 26 year old tall man with pretty good dark hair and jagged figure, he hasn't had that much good luck these last 3 years.

"You'll be fine man, sabby is the one for you" I'm not much of a motivational speaker, but I know exactly what people want to hear and I fell like this is actually true.

"Pray God she is," he says under a sight. That's a thing I wish I had, or maybe I wish, didn't fade away. If only I could have a strong enough faith and trust in God...

Maybe I could be happier, freed from more burden-

"Third tier alarm boys and girls"

From the moment I heard the alarm, i knew this crap was serious.

"We need additional man on this one, about 12 more," Quins shouts with a solemn look on her face. A tall and steady woman in her late forties stood firm i front of us. Wearing a white uniform, she undeniably deserves, with the demeanour of a leader. As a man, I pretty much aspire to be just like her. Quins Wiltshire, Fire Chief officer (fco)of Station n.5 south calgary.

"Openen fire, Hi Calgary city centre, eating up offices." She continues in a loud enough voice that ought for respect.

"Come back to us in one peace amd kill that bitch of a fire." she says schemeing past every faces. Although Quins is a woman who shows no affection by any means, that, right there hold some fondness. A silent promise we make to each other on every shifts, every calls to protect each other. Her glacy blue eyes met mine and a clear conversation was made she nods down at me and I nod back.

"Come on now, GO!" She shouts and just like that every one resumes to there duties.

20 Firefighters load on to the first two firetruck , the rest of us loading supplementary instruments like water hoses fire instiguishers an more the third firetruck. All this done with synchronisation, and team work.

We're in the fire truck as we hit the direction to go to the Calgary City Centre, sirens loudly on.

Says jenny from the Intercom. She continues

BOOM!!

The ground shook as the truck goes side ways off the road, throwing many of us of balance, but garry redirected it quickly. citizens were screaming and running in panic.

"Fuck!..." Lynn says after being shoved into Timothy. many of as were pushed against one another some were thrown to the floor.

" was that an explosion!." Timothy says looking both annoyed and alarmed.

jenny informs in an alarmed pitched voice.
