Chapter 4: We meet again

Vee's POV

I woke up to the sound of my roomies getting prepared. I still had a lot of questions in mind. About that strange light and that guy, Hari was it? What happened to him that he was so injured like that? *Sighs let's just think about that another time. "What's all the fuss for guys?" I said to my frantic rommies throwing clothes around like crazy. "What do you mean what's all the fuss? Today's the day we meet all our classmates and get chosen by our guardians! We need to look presentable at least! First impressions last after all" Cass says to me while still picking out clothes for her and Quin to wear.

"*Sighs alright alright our miss fashion queen over here says we need the perfect outfits for today" Quin says while watching Cass go through all the racks of clothes in her closet. "Here! This is perfect!" Cass says while pulling out a black skirt with a gray sweater like top with some black boots. "How about you guys? What are you guys gonna wear?" Cass says looking at us frantically "Well I already picked my clothes yesterday, but I'm sure Vee here didn't even think about what she's gonna wear today" Quin looks at me hesitantly "Uhmm he he, no I haven't" I said while scratching my head. I wasn't even fully awake yet. "Oh no, come here let me fix you" "Hey, I don't need fixing" "Yeah, sure you don't" Quin and Cass look at each other.

"Finneee urrhhgg". After 15 minutes of preparing my things, or rather 15 minutes of nagging and choosing clothes for me we finally found something. "See? Now you look better" Cass says while fixing my hair. So they made me wear this croped black and white halter top, plain white pants and some Adidas shoes. "I must give you guys credit this doesn't look bad at all" I said to them grinning. "Of course, we styled it after all" Quin grins at me proudly. "Well we better get going now. We don't want to be late and make our future guardians wait for us shall we?" Cass says playfully. "Okay

We were all socializing in the courtyard when the teachers arrived "Good morning everyone. I am Madam Pyrix, your school principal. I will be assisting you in your quest to meet your future guardian who will go through woos and woes with you. Everyone please step up and wait for your guardian to come to you" Madam Pyrix opened a huge gate. Everyone started to gather outside the gate. There were many kinds of animals there but it wasn't ordinary animals, animals that had mystic energy emitting outside their bodies. "Look Vee, Quin! It's flying towards me!" Cass yells excitedly when she saw a majestic brown eagle flying to her. It landed on her shoulder and stayed there.

"Congratulations Cass!" Quin and I said at the same time. "Look look! There's mine!" Quin says hurriedly. "Oh it's so pretty!" Awwee Quin got a doe (female deer). All my friends are getting their guardians. I look to my left and see Hari with a big black leopard with violet eyes. "Wow, everyone has such cool guardians." I whispered to my self. One by one the students get chosen by their guardians. "Hey Vee! Where's yours?" Quin asked with a concerned look on her face. "Oh it's here somewhere" I say a little worried.

I waited and waited until it was 11:45, 15 minutes before the guardians stop choosing students. I was getting worried. "Vee don't worry, I'm sure your guardian is just late or something" "Yeah, it'll be here sooner or later" Quin and Cass said with concern written all over their faces. "All students who already have their guardian please return to your rooms" Madam Pyrix says with a commanding tone. "Don't worry Vee, you'll get yours. I guess we'll see you later Vee" Sooner or later I find my self alone in the courtyard. I squat down and start to draw on the sand with a stick I found nearby. It was already 11:55 and still no guardian. I was thinking about leaving when I tilted my head slightly upwards to see two paws in front of me. "Woah" I said as I fall backwards and hit my bum on the sand. There it is. A beautiful white and blue wolf, it had big yellow eyes which stared at me.

"Hello Vee, we meet again" the wolf looked at me and tilted its head. I was a bit surprised. How was it talking without moving its mouth? "Uhhm hi? How are you talking to me? Have we met before?" "Oh, I'm talking to you through brain waves and yes, I was the white light you saw last night" oh he was that bright light I saw last night? "Now you and I will be one" "Huh? What do you mean by—" just then the wolf turned into a pile of light blue smoke and went on my left shoulder. It turned into a wolf tattoo. "This way you can summon me whenever you want just call me Dark Star and about all your questions, they will all be answered with time, you just have to wait Vee"

With that I went back to my room and told the girls what happened. "I told you that your guardian was just late" Cass says proudly. "So what happens now?" I ask all confused. I am still new to all this. "Hmm let me see" Quin skims through her notebook "Tomorrow we're supposed to get tested for our powers I guess. We'll find out what attributes we have" "Oh, I see, so we're free this afternoon?" "Yup" Quin nods her head. "Let's hang out this afternoon" Cass suggested "Sure! That will be fun" Quin agrees excitedly. We all talked our hearts out all afternoon and didn't notice that it's already getting late. We all said our good nights and headed off to bed. "I wonder what'll happen tomorrow? What attribute will I get. I guess I'll see tomorrow" I tell my self as I go to sleep.
