Taking A Step Forward

The Moors, or the Moorlands.

It is a place that has existed since long ago, before even the time of man came.

And for the past hundreds and thousands of years, has become a sanctuary where many a creatures of fae gather and live together. Creating a sense of peace and harmony across the lands, as the times come to pass.

Thus marking the start of the forest Kingdom of the Moors, which is sought out by many beings.

But like all things, a kingdom needs a protector One whose mere presence can bring about a sense of security to those in need. One who maintains the peace and harmony that has long been created over the course of time. And one who protects their people from any who wishes them harm.

And there were many such beings in the Moors who were up to taking this sacred duty full of honour.

Though when the time came to step forward, all stood still and in unity chose another being to become the protector of the Moors. One who they thought the most promising among any other, who they gave their full trust to, to take up this sacred duty.

It was i, Maleficent, who they had all chosen.

It was i, who they had all entrusted their lives to. To become their protector, and be someone more than myself.

And true to their expectations, i rose up to my duties, and became the protector of the Moors, and all those who lives within. Making my mark in history, for all to see.

And since then, a lot of time has passed, and many things have changed. But one thing remains constant, that there exists someone who always keeps an eye over them, and and protects them from any who wish them harm.

Though recently, there has occurred an unprecedented change in this lands, that none could fully understand, or comprehend. And has put many in the dark, confused and concerned, for whether it was a threat or not.

But all knew one thing, that a great change was going to happen, regardless of their opinions. And they were going to be caught up in this storm, whether they liked it or not.

It was a calm, peaceful day like any other, where all the inhabitants of the Moors started their day like usual, with the rising of the sun and the early chirpings of the birds, that told them of the arrival of a new day.

But this time, unlike any we had seen, the dawn of the new day brought about a surprise that caught us in a storm, before we even knew it.

It was the arrival, or rather, the fall of a man from the skies to the heart of the forest, as he came crashing down, and fell unconscious upon reaching the ground.

And with his arrival, i could feel the change in the magic of the world. It was like his arrival changed the very fabric of our reality.

But, was this a change for the better, or not?

I know not what to say, for the only thing i could do now, was observe this mysterious man.

And since then, this part of the forest was blocked away from any prying eyes and prevented the arrival of others, as i continued my watch over him.

Though, it seems that my watch is coming to an end soon. Fir i can feel him gaining his consciousness slowly but surely.

And when the time comes, that he finally awakens, would be the day i get my questions answered, and determine whether he was a threat to my people or not.

Ever since i have woken up in this new world, my life has been nothing but a ride full of wonder.

Everything that i see and come across, feels so new and foreign to me, yet at the same time, i cannot help but feel a sense of excitement and joy everytime i come across something new.

Its like i was just born, and am experiencing life for the first time. Which did seem somewhat true, if you look at my life before.

Though, it matters not now, as the past is the past, it has already happened and cannot be changed. But the present is what upon which we live, and each moment can become a defining moment of our future, going forward.

So taking a step forward in this new world, i have taken a step towards a new life.

One of freedom, and of a better future.

The sweet scent in the air.

The calm, serene sound of the birds chirping and the stream of water that flows.

The warm breeze that often blows past me.

And the bright light of the sun above, that fills me with warmth.

This is what i have wanted to experience, a new way at life, where i am feee and full of joy, each passing moment.

I thought to myself, as i continued to stride forward, through the beautiful greenery of the forest, vast and wide.

A curious look plastered on my face, as i took in everything that i laid my eyes upon.

And never in my life, have i ever felt so happy, so full of joy, than at this moment now.

But everything in life always comes with their own ups and downs.

And for me, who was currently enjoying the new experience of a beautiful life, also had to deal with my own problems in life. Which came in the form of constant surveillance from a certain being, ever since i awakened. Though i just ignored and left it alone, feeling no ill intent from it.

But truth be told, i was also interested in this person, and wanted to meet if possible. For i wished to have an exchange with another being from this world, that did not have any ill intentions towards me. And maybe extend a hand of friendship when we meet.

But it seems that i need not wait much.

As like a wish granted, the person landed before me, with dust covering its form, as it flew down from above me.

Then with a gust of wind, the dust disappeared, revealing the one who stood before me.

It was a woman. The most beautiful i had ever seen, albeit she being the first one i saw. But i just knew somehow, someway.

And with the two horns protuding from the head, paired with the two dark wings behind. Along with the dark, green coloured dress that she adorned.

It truly was a sight to behold.

And a moment later she spoke, her voice sweet and charming, yet full of authority.

So we meet at last, traveller from beyond.
