Episode 6

Elias was shadowing Henrique, to safeguard his daughter, aware that his intentions were less than pure, tainted by his father's malevolence. He observed Henrique approaching Luana, issuing commands that she clearly didn't want to follow. Elias decided to watch and see what Henrique desired, and if he harmed Luana again, he would obliterate Henrique completely.

He trailed him through the woods until he spotted Henrique sitting and gently playing with a rabbit.

"How odd, could he be bipolar? Such violence towards Luana, yet tender with prey? This is all very perplexing," he pondered, pausing to scrutinize Henrique's behavior during the time Luana had been with them.

"He torments only her, becomes animated when the warriors return from battle, yet takes no part. I will initiate combat training at home, using weapons, until he's transformed. Let's see how well he fares against formidable animals, not just Luana."

Elias left the forest, disillusioned with the offspring of his Alpha. He needed to unravel the workings of Henrique's bewildering mind.

The next morning, as daylight broke, Luana sprinted to the arena. Finding Henrique there, ready for training, she hesitated, uncertain of how to proceed, particularly since he held a whip in his hand.

"What's with the whip, Rique?"

"It's for your new drill. You've got to dodge the whip, trying to take me down with a sweep."

"There's no way to do that without getting whipped. You just want an excuse to hit me. I won't fall for this, Rique."

"You can do it, fierce jaguar!"

"I'm no jaguar, I'm a wolf."

As they conversed, Luana circled him, while he matched her moves. At a moment's notice, she leapt over him, swiftly taking him down by kicking out his knee from behind.

Henrique, caught off guard, toppled over and failed to lash out at her with his whip.

"Ah, you little cheat! You've tricked me!"

"If it were you who pulled that off, I'd be the one in the wrong. It's always me, but you're perpetually right. I'm not falling for your tricks."

He sprang up with an astonishing bound, hurling himself towards her, but she sidestepped, letting him crash to the ground.

"I taught you well, but you won't get away from me."

She retreated a few steps from him, stating:

"I no longer trust you and I won't come to train with you anymore. I just came to say that you hurt me deeply on my birthday, and I will never let you do that to me again. Goodbye, Henrique."

His rage boiled over, and she didn't see it coming, but the whip cracked against her back.

She couldn't fathom how he did it, but it seemed as though he was everywhere, the whip incessantly striking her back. She attempted to leap aside, to run, but to no avail; wherever she went, there he was. Then the fury in him transferred to her, and she let it pour out through her pores, creating a blue aura around her.

Henrique delighted in this, exactly what he had been striving for. He stopped, watching the magnificent light that radiated outward from her.

"Who are you, and why does this light sparkle when you're furious? Answer me, Luana!"

"I don't know!"

"STOP!!!"

Her anger surged more intensely, and the light extended toward the young Alpha. As it neared, he felt heat, and his skin began to burn. Then Elias, who had been observing from outside the arena, realized the blue light was malevolent and could slay the young Alpha. He dashed into the arena and bellowed:

"LUANA! STOP!"

Startled, Luana glanced at her father, as if waking from a trance. She noticed her body emitting a blue light and bolted for the forest.

"What did you intend to do, Henrique?"

"I'd seen this blue light emerge from her before, when she became enraged during training. I wanted to incite her further, provoke her anger to understand what this is."

"It was reckless of you, Henrique. That blue light can burn and might have killed you."

"So you understand why she's a danger we can't treat her as an innocent."

"Is that why you always pick on her, to provoke her darker side and kill us all?"

"We don't know if it'll kill everyone. We don't even know what it is. We need to find out."

"Not like this. She is my daughter, entrusted to me by the goddess, and I won't let you harm her any longer."

"Fine, just keep her out of my way."

"No, I'll keep you from her path. Be here tomorrow at this time, and we will begin your weapon training. Soon, we'll venture into the woods at night for you to practice hunting."

"Alright, Elias, maybe it is time. My transformation is near, and I want to be ready so my wolf knows how to act."

Elias gazed at him intently, gauging his expression and stance. He was strong; indeed, his training had paid off, developing a robust physique. Standing tall, he would make an exceptional hunter.

"You'll do well. But concerning my daughter, I shall take care, and please, don't spread malevolence about her. Others might wish to do to her as you have."

"Alright, I just hope we don't regret this decision. Keeping her calm, ignorant of her power, leaves us all in the dark about what it is, and what it means. When she unleashes it, it may end us all."

"You might be correct, but she is my daughter, and it's my responsibility to decide."

Turning, Elias walked away, entering the forest to search for his daughter.
