My eyes slowly opened once more, my vision blurred, the world around me felt as if it was moving in slow motion.

Above me loomed a man, licking his lips lustfully, I looked down and to my horror, he was attempting to take advantage of me.

Ash's voice interrupted the man's gaze " Is she awake yet? I want the brat to witness everything, I want to see the pain in her eyes and hear the hurt in her voice, make sure she's awake!"

The man above me scoffed "She's awake alright."

A small voice in my head chimed in " You can't let this happen Raya...you need to RUN." But the voice spoke in vain, I couldn't control my body, I couldn't scream or yell, I'm helpless.

As I laid there, emotionless and helpless, enduring the man's entrance a sole tear fell from my face, the heartless man above me slammed against my body ruthlessly until the act came to completion, only then did my body allow me to burst into tears.

The man rolled off of me and groaned in satisfaction, he slumped in his seat lighting a cigar, only in that moment did I notice that we were in a car.

In the front seat, driving the car, was Ash, to my left was the man, the man that had just assaulted me, and to my right, I could see that we were on a highway.

I glanced to my left, checking to see if the man was paying attention, he wasn't, with every ounce of strength left in my body I pushed the door open and flung myself behind it in one motion.

I fell, but slowly, I could see the car running along the road before I hit the ground, I felt so light and free, like nothing around me mattered and then.....darkness.

I opened my eyes to a bright light, and the sound of beeping.

"Did I survive?"

A hollow and robotic voice replied "No... No you did not survive Raya."

The voice paused "I am V, I am life, death and everything in between, I am the creator and destroyer of galaxies, I am .... God."

V let out a sarcastic laugh "God...only humans believe in god."

In confusion I muttered " So if you're not a God...who are you?"

A space shattering silence echoed across what I had just noticed to be a bright white and seemingly endless space.

V replied "I am the spiritual guide into your next life, I am the being who transport's the living and the dead to their next destination, no life is like the last and no death is like the first , but life and death is a never ending cycle."

I rubbed my head in thought " So, who is the one above you?"

V paused once more "What makes you think there's someone above me Raya?"

"Well, V , I'd assume someone made or created you, you can't just exist."

V cut me off with a booming laugh " That's the problem with humans, they believe because they exist that someone must have created them with purpose, they believe that everything happens for a reason, they believe it is GOD'S will, but Raya, do you believe a god who loves and cherishes his creations would allow children to be harmed, trafficked,abused, assaulted and even murdered?"

"There's no reason for these horrific acts to be committed other than the lack of souls that the universe has been met with."

I guess I seemed visibly confused, not able to control my facial structure, so V continued.

"Let V give you a life lesson Raya. Every soul has a limited amount of uses, after a soul is born, it can be reincarnated nine times before it becomes useless, think of it like this, you can only add so much water to a cup of cherry syrup before it becomes flavourless, the concept of souls is the same."

I once again pondered, taking in this new information "How is there a lack of souls, are you not the creator of souls?"

"I am V, our full name is VR, R stepped down because he became too aware of death, V is all knowing, R is all powerful together, we have the ability to create souls, V knows how to create souls whilst R has the power and ability to create souls , without V and R together, no new souls can be born."

"Well, that makes sense but if you're all knowing how do you not know how to make R come back?"

V responded in a solemn tone " R does not want to come back, and I can't make him."

"But don't you need R V?"

"Let V tell you something Raya, R stepped down from his position, V needs someone capable of taking that position, someone all powerful, so let V make a deal with you, I will reincarnate you into the time and space where V and R met and became one, become all powerful, and only then will we be complete."

"What's in it for me V?"

"Power, and an infinite life force."

"what does that mean?"

"It means you will never have to experience life or death again, you will exis" to create and watch over your creations."

"Sounds fair enough, when can I start."

V's feminine but robotic voice chimed in " Assessing bodily damage, 68% bodily damage, three seconds until repair."

Just then I felt my bones and muscle contorting and readjusting, I screamed in agony until everything went black.
