I woke up at Eve's house in her bed but I saw her sitting there gloomily. "Eve..?" I asked hesitantly, she stared back at me in tears. "Who did it Y/n..?" She asked firmly, I was confused. What was she talking about? "Who did what Eve?" I asked unsure of what was coming. "That Y/n." She muttered pointing to my arms and torso. Damnit I forgot sometimes I'll take my shirt of cause I get too hot... I teared up, I was gonna tell her. I trust her, I feel like I've known her forever. I can trust her.

I broke down into tears as I hugged her, she hugged back without hesitation. "My dad... He did it..." I mumbled out through sobs. Her heart looked like it dropped, she already knew that my mother wasn't around anymore which meant she put together that Sadie and I were stuck alone in a house with him... She shook her head sadly. "Please don't go back there... Please..." She begged, my heart broke seeing her cry like this... "I have to... Sadie needs me..." I replied quietly but firmly, she nodded and sighed. "Fine... But you are always welcome at my place..." She hugged me and I hugged back.

Once I got home I entered the house I immediately saw blood in some places as well as broken glass, I ran to find Sadie and I found her inside our room with a few cuts and bruises, the cuts were small but she's always bled a lot. I bandaged her cuts and covered her bruises with makeup. "I'm leaving Y/n... I can't stay here." She mumbled softly, I lowered my head and nodded softly giving her a big hug. "Alright petal... I understand." I smiled at her and wiped her tears away. "It's best for you to get out of here anyway." I nodded and clipped her necklace around her neck and kissed her forehead.

"Goodbyes are not forever, not the end; simply missing you until we meet again..." Sadie smiled at me. "That's my quote of the day..." She smiled softly and grabbed her backpack before leaving the house... After that I started hanging out with Eve a lot, I was rarely home. Since her brother was in that group of boys I got to know them a bit but I mostly stayed away. I thought everything was going to be okay.

Little did I know my whole world would come crashing down that week...

I was walking to school and I saw Sadie there, I hugged her and she hugged back. "I wanted to see you, it's been a few months." She smiled. We walked to school just talking till we came up on a corner and saw a van. We froze. That was the grabber... The one who had takes Finney and Vance... And Bruce, Robin, Griffin and the reason why Eve was so heartbroken... He'd taken Billy.

The grabber saw us and I turned to Sadie. "Run." I mumbled as she nodded and ran away as fast as she could, I ran a long with her. I heard a van pull up Infront of us. I turned around but Sadie fell, I watched as the grabber threw her into the van... I ran towards the van and jumped in. I was not letting my sister be taken. I felt something be sprayed in my eyes as I passed out.

I woke up on a mattress I could see the silhouette of other people around the room but I had my hood on and couldn't see shit. I sat there until my vision cleared. I saw all the missing boys around the room but I saw one particular figure who I was so happy was okay. I teared up and ran over to the girl picking her up and hugging her tightly. The boys didn't know who I was because I had a hood on and thought I was being weird. Vance pushed me away and Griffin helped Sadie to her feet.

I took my hood down and they were surprised to see me, Sadie ran back over to me and hugged me. "Bambi!" She squealed. I rubbed her back. "It's okay petal..." I sat her down on the bed and kissed her forehead as I watched her go to sleep. I looked at the boys who were still shocked to see me. Griffin hugged me happily. I hugged him back and ruffled his hair. He was fourteen so a year younger than the other boys they were all fifteen except Vance was sixteen. I was fourteen, though they didn't know that. "Have you been avoiding us?" Billy quizzed, to be fair I definitely was. "I- uh..." I didn't know what to say?

"Her life," Sadie pointed to me. "Changed once she figured out the monsters," she pointed to the boys. "Were protecting her." Sadie smiled softly. When in distress Sadie only speaks in quotes which means until we get out of this basement that's what she'll be doing. The boys looked puzzled. "Us? Monsters? Protecting?" Finney asked confused. I sighed. "I was indeed avoiding you guys, I didn't want to be used and thrown away. That's just my experience with all boys which I guess isn't too fair. I'm sorry." I mumbled.

"Sadie was basically saying that I was scared to let you guys in even after I figured out through Eve that you guys were defending my honor." I gave an apologetic smile. Eve had told me a few weeks ago that the boys had gotten into a few fights defending me against Moose and his stupid rumors and a few other people. The boys scattered across the room were all looking at me. Finney and Billy were looking at me slightly embarrassed, Griffin was looking at me awkwardly, Vance and Robin looked a bit proud. But they all looked a little guilty hearing why I was avoiding them and why I was scared. This was gonna be a long trip in a basement.
