Do I even exist in his memory?

Ksitija's heart sank. The guy she came for already had someone in his heart. She watched his back as his mother dragged him to his house. She was standing on the stairs, she felt things around her went dark and was unable to see anything.

She felt numb all over her body, felt like some heavy thing was placed on her chest. Her breath became uneven and she was struggling to breathe. A drop of tear already left her eyes and run all the way to her cheeks.

It was like her dreams, her desires are being snatched by some invisible hands. She was helpless to that force.

She was here for him. To be his part of life. But today she realized that person already has someone unforgettable. That person affected him to the extent that he forgot himself and indulged himself in alcohol. The dream castle she was dreaming of the building was smashed to the ground before even started. She was not sure whether she will ever get close to him or not.

For the last two years, she loved him dreamed to be with him.   She put a lot of effort to be able to be the person he deserves. to shine in his eyes as he does in her eyes. She asked herself;

" Do I exist in his memory"?

This question made her lose her whole body Strength. She was about to fall when Knisksh supported her and asked whether she is fin.

Kshitija was so much indulged in her thoughts that she doesn't even realize when Kanisksh came back.

"I'm fine"

Said Kshitija. Her voice trembled. It was dark on the stairs where she was standing so Kaniskh didn't see her red eyes. He thought that she might be tired of traveling. He supported her back to their house. She was already back to normal. She fixed her emotions before entering the house.

Kshira: " were you crying?"

As they entered the home Kshira saw Kshitija's red eyes and asked with worry. Only then did Knisksh saw her red eyes. Before Kshira could ask more Kshitija said she was tired and sleepy and ran back to her room without giving anyone a chance to see her abnormal mood.

Kshitija ran back to her room and closed the door. She sank to the ground and started to cry. She didn't want others to worry and tried to control her emotions. It was not easy either. She saw Ajinkya After a year but he was in such a state, she didn't know how to react.

His mother's words rang into her ears, making her feel even more pained. She pulls herself to the bed and covered herself well so that people in the house would not know about her crying.

She was unable to sleep. Whenever she closed her eyes an image of Ajinkya falling from the bike would appear in her mind and be unable to close her eyes. When she opened her eyes, she would hear his mother's curse and start to cry again.  Suppressed sobs can be heard in an empty room.

She loved him for 2 years without any pre-requisition. She joined the same college as him so that she could stay near to him. She planned to make him feel her love. But today she came to know that he was already into someone and was heartbroken because of him.

Ajinkya's actions were always unintentional. But they made Kshitija feel warm and infatuated. He always saw her as a junior and didn't have any feeling for her. She never held any special importance in his heart. These thoughts made her feel even more hurt.

She fell asleep after an unknown amount of time.
