I start searching for my mom’s pulse
My throat became dry and I suddenly felt like I stopped breathing

A slight smile curled on Mom’s lips and her long blond hair lies about her as if she’s pretending to be Sleeping Beauty and having the most wonderful dream

You’re sleeping? *says in a chocked voice*
I shake dad and yell in his ear to wake him up but it’s no use
I don’t understand why they’re sleeping

*lies in between them on the cold linoleum floor burying her face in her hands*
