Preparing For Auditions

So guys, in this episode I am going to tell you how to prepare for your k-pop auditions.

1. Identify your special talent:

As we know, that all the k-pop idols are talented. They all have their special skills, like Lisa from BLACKPINK is a great rapper and dancer, her talent are rapping and dancing. Jimin from BTS is also a great dancer and singer, his special talents are singing and dancing. Just like them you also need to find your special talent, you need to find out that what is more enjoyable and easy for yourself. Is it dancing or singing or rapping? To find out your special talent you need to know that which category is in your Comfort Zone. If you find singing easy than dancing and rapping then practice singing, but if you find dancing easy then practice harder, and to all the rappers, while rapping learn how to dance also. Not only for the rappers but also the singers should learn basic dance steps because when you become a k-pop idol you need to dance, but some solo artists are there who don't dance much but they are still popular. The same goes to the dancers, you should also learn how to sing and rap. And before auditioning, train for a year or more so you can be perfect.

2. Find a company that suits you.

While talent is needed to be a k-pop idol, you should also know that some companies don't look for only talent, they look for Good Looks, SM Entertainment is one of them, so if you think that you are really beautiful in South Korea's beauty standards and have talent (that still needs some practice but is good enough) can audition for SM Entertainment. But those who think that they are not so beautiful (but good enough or a little bit lower) and have a lot, I mean LOTS of talent they can audition for YG Entertainment. And you can audition for JYP ENTERTAINMENT if you are both good looking and talented (enough to pass the auditions). And to the males, you can audition for Big Hit Labels, they are also like JYP but better. Because as I have heard JYP hates males.

3. Choose a song to sing/rap and dance.

Now this is a tough decision. Your career can depend on which song you choose. Why? Then read the next. You can a choose a song based on your liking of concept, if you want to be in a girl group, which has cute songs you should choose a song from Twice or G-Friend. But if you like hip hop concept then you can choose songs from BLACKPINK, BTS or any other boy groups. But remember, you should NEVER choose a song from the enemy side of the company which you are auditioning for! Like if you are auditioning for SM Entertainment then NEVER choose a song of BTS, because EXO and BTS are rivals in the music industry (but they are friends in real life). And also remember that you SHOULD NOT choose a song from the company's groups, like if you are auditioning for JYP Entertainment then don't choose a song of Twice or they will think that you are a fan who is auditioning just to meet their idols.

4. Choose what to wear on the day of audition.

If you have decided to audition then you should also decide what to wear on the day of auditions, right? Then let me tell you, on the day of audition don't wear too much makeup, because they would like to see that how you look bare faced, are you beautiful enough or not. If you want to wear makeup then just apply a thin layer of foundation and lip balm. DO NOT use contour. And for the clothes, you should wear a pure white T-shirt, denim shorts and white sneakers because if you dress up like a disco ball (too bright clothes) the judges won't be able to notice you body movements, the dress will be a distraction for them, and you should not wear merchandise (clothes with k-pop group's name, photo etc.) or they will think that you are here to see your idols. So basically just wear simple and not so bright clothes.

5. Watch your attitude.

While auditioning don't talk back when judges say anything about you. Have manners like the k-pop idol. If you don't know much about them, then watch their videos and try to learn about their manners. Don't say that you would like to be in a group rather than being solo, or you would like to be solo rather than being in a group, if they don't ask, or they will think that you are too demanding.

So guys today upto this, I hope I helped you and if I didn't then please forgive.
