Jessica woke up tired and with dark circles under her eyes. She had chosen an apartment that would be quiet, but she was living a nightmare with that neighbor. Actually, it was the fault of the walls that didn't block the sound, they seemed like eggshells and everything could be heard. But it was getting difficult to work being so tired.
She decided to leave another note on his car:
"If your girlfriend had a baby, tell her to take care of it, I need to sleep."
She left in her red car, which was the best purchase she ever made, leaving her father's Bentley at his house. She went to the hospital yawning and thanking God that the staff was complete and she didn't have to cover for anyone's absence.

Miguel didn't know how to make a bottle or how to wash the dirty one. It was even worse to see the dirty diaper and have to change it, but he was brave and did it. He picked up the things he bought and took them to his room. He took the things he would use to the bathroom and went back to get her. He took off her diaper, disgusted and wanting to cover his nose, but he either held the baby or covered his nose.
At least she stopped yelling, because for him, she didn't cry, she yelled. He put her in the bidet and used the little shower to wash her. Luckily the apartment's water was heated and didn't scare her. He finished everything, feeling like a great dad, and when he left the room with her, clean and tidy, the nanny was waiting with the bottle ready, and he passed the baby to her and went to get ready to go to work and before leaving, he warned.
"I'm going to get ready to go to work. There on the telephone table, there are the numbers where you can call and order what you need, I have an account with everyone. I'll try to arrange someone else to alternate with you."
"Here, I brought a card from my agency, call and request, it's guaranteed."
"I'll do that. The condominium has a company that cleans the apartment, don't worry about that, and the furniture for the baby's room should arrive today, but it will be assembled tomorrow, when I'll be home, don't worry. Any questions?"
"Do you know my name and my contact information?"
Miguel felt like a fool, how could he forget something so important?
He picked up his phone and asked for the young woman's information.
"Denise de Carvalho." she introduced herself and gave her cell phone number. "Don't forget to tell the doorman that you now have a daughter who is with the nanny, and give my name."
"That's a lot, thank you for your patience. Anything, call me, save my number, I already sent it. I'm going."
He went down, told the doorman about the new residents and went to his car, finding, again, a note.
"What an abuse! Who does he think he is? Anyone can have this kind of difficulty, how dare he judge me? I need to sleep too, you pretentious man."
He crumpled the note, but didn't throw it on the ground, got in the car and threw it in the glove compartment. He left tired and irritated and besides everything he had to resolve regarding the enterprise, he needed to take care of the emergencies of a baby, his daughter, who as they say, didn't ask to be born.
"It's so strange to think that I formed another being, like in a recipe, you put one ingredient with another and you have something good, but in this case, it forms a baby, who cries, eats, soils diapers and cries again and when it grows up, it becomes people full of desires and thinking about many things. I need to treat this baby, as the person it will be one day, not as something that bothers me and gives me work."
He arrived at the company and asked the secretary to call the agency and hire another nanny. He went to the office and forgot the subject, as men do, because they are not able to do two things at the same time.

Jessica arrived at the condominium, parked the car and upon entering, went straight to ask the receptionist:
"Good afternoon. Can you tell me if the baby is still on the fifth floor?"
"Yes, doctor, the baby belongs to the owner and has a nanny taking care of him, in fact, there are two, who are taking turns."
"That's good, it seems to be a newborn."
"And it is, it doesn't seem to be even a month old, I saw her today, with the nanny, getting some sun, very early."
"Thank you very much for the information. If she has a nanny, then she didn't cry anymore, did she?"
"No, she didn't cry."
"Good, I need to sleep."
She went up and everything was really silent. She entered her apartment, took a bath, put on a baby doll and made a quick dinner, which she had with a sweet rose wine. She went to sleep relaxed and woke up startled, with the baby's loud crying.
She called the front desk:
"Can you check why this baby cries so much, please?"
Miguel was dealing with his daughter, who was crying in the bassinet, while he read the label on the can of infant formula, to know how to prepare it, but he didn't know the baby's weight or the number of days she had been alive.
"Why am I so careless?"
He ran to the room to see the baby's documents, while the intercom kept ringing. He took the recipe prescribed by the pediatrician and answered the intercom, reading.
"Now I'm in trouble, tell the neighbor that it's not my fault, the nanny messed up and I'm alone." he hung up and went to prepare the bottle.
When he finished preparing it, the doorbell rang and he picked up his daughter, put the bottle in her little mouth, and she fell silent instantly and went to answer the door. When he opened it, paying attention to his daughter, he asked:
"Sorry, I know her crying bothers you, but" he finally looked at the person in front of him and was startled "who are you?"
