Chapter 5: Encounter

As Azrael and Handy forces march to the battlefield. Kira already reduced the monsters number by half and now he is following the trails of the remaining monsters near the kingdom of Azrael.

Kira speaking to himself. "After killing that shadow leopard, whenever I face another class A monster, it becomes easier and easier. Is this land ruled by only class A monsters or higher classes are just rare."

Kira added. "As I kill monsters and move place to another, the signs of human activity here are much noticeable. Is there a civilization nearby?"

As he search for civilization, he eventually found a village that seemed to be abandoned.

"Hmmm the houses are destroyed but there are no sign of resistance or a battle here. Maybe the villagers evacuated before the monsters arrived here."

Kira spotted a trail that could possibly caused by humans, he followed this trail while fighting the monsters on the way. As he goes on fighting the monsters, their battle eventually wiped of the trail.

"Oh, Am I lost?"

"Heh I'll just go straight where my guts tells me to go."

As soon as Handy and the other forces got out of Azrael's defence. They immediately departed, Xiu and Herald charged in crowd of monsters to gather their attention while Asmodeus and his company.

"They got their attention now, it's our chance. Alicia pick the best route and lead the way!" Asmodeus said

"Ha no need to tell me, I know what I need to do." Alicia replied

"AREA SEARCH!" skill casted by Alicia

Area search is a skill of a Marksman/ranger that helps envision the one who casts the skill up to 1km radius.

"That area seems clear. This way follow me." Alicia said

As they go 15km away from the main battlefield, Alicia noticed something is wrong but she can't detect it with its skill.

"Guys wait, something's up. I never felt so uneasy like this in my life."

"Haha yeah right, We've been safe all this time. If you're tired then tell us, don't make up stories. I'll take the lead now." Asmodeus replied.

Alicia replied. "No, wait! I'm serious don't move!"

A part of a land suddenly moved and attacked, there appears a monster that is a Class A+. It attacked Asmodeus, he blocked the attack but still suffers some damage and eventually he became unconscious.

"Is that a Terra Dragon? what is a Rank A+ monster doing here?" Myrr said in shock.

"We didn't even fought a monster at that level when we got to Azrael. Should we back off? No, we can only retreat without anyone left behind." Blake said.

"Right Blake, but even with Mavis abilities, we are still not assured to win this one. Can we even deal a fatal blow? We are only capable in scratching that thing". Alicia talking to herself.

"Alicia can I take command for now?" Mavis said

Alicia talks to her mind. "Huh? what? It's the first time for for her to step up in this kind of situation. Maybe it's risky but I think it's the best choice to give it to her since I'm not in the right mind to it."

Alicia replied to Mavis. "Go on Mavis please."

"Since my healing skill can't reach Asmodeus, he's been knocked back by the attack of the Terra Dragon. I'll be more useful if I fought alongside with you than just healing. So Blake go to Asmodeus and take care of him. Luke, Maurice and Chloe assist Blake."

"Haji and Ash, go to the front. Alicia and I will support you from behind. Just try not to get hit so hard that you will lose your limbs, I can only heal not regenerate. Once I finish casting Buff skills, do immediately your tasks." Mavis said to everyone.

Mavis casts her skills. "Greater Strength, Greater vitality, Increase Speed, Attack resistance, magic resistance. Now go!"

Alicia, Ash and Haji attacks the Terra Dragon to get his attention. "Rapid arrows! Armor piercing ******! Thunder strike! "

Blake and his company finally got to Asmodeus. They carried Asmodeus as they retreat.

"What's with that sound? It comes from that direction."

Kira followed where the sound came from.

"Tsk Just as I thought, nothing but scratches, thick scales that is enforced with mana." Alicia said

While Blake is healing Asmodeus, he regained his consciousness.

"Hey Alicia, Asmodeus is awake now!" Luke said

"Good job guys, Mavis I think we can back of now." Alicia told Mavis

"I see. Haji and Ash get back. Everybody, Prepare to retreat!" Mavis said.

But the Terra Dragon didn't let them. It created a tremor, this caused huge cracks on the ground and huge rocks crumbled. Every member of Handy is down fortunately, everybody is also in range of Mavis' healing ability. As Mavis struggle to use her ability because of there situation but she did it anyway. "Great Barrier of Healing!".

This is one of Mavis' unique skill, the people within the barrier are being healed while they are also being protected by outside threats. The Terra Dragon caused another tremor that it caused the barrier to nearly collapse.

"It seems that a class A+ monster is too much for the skill even though it is a unique ability. Is it finally our end?" Mavis said to herself as she loses hope.

Finally another tremor came. The situation is too much for them that eventually everyone accepted their fate. But the tremor is not caused by the dragon, it was caused by Kira when he attacked the Terra Dragon.

"Your scales are quite though but I'm more amazed in this dagger, Its appearance is still the same when I first used it." -Kira

The Dragon's thick scales are being teared down as Kira continuously attack but the Dragon can't do anything about it.

"I feel sorry for you, once I inflict a damage on you with the darkness touch you will get debuff on your defense, strength and speed. I just realized this when I fought the shadow leopard. I can't remember this skill being used by Kratus in his memory is darkness touch perhaps a unique skill?". -Kira

The Terra Dragon is enraged and is on a rampage

"Shit, those people will be caught up in this. I'll finish you off immediately" -Kira "Darkness touch! Continues slash!"

Everyone is watching while Kira ends the life of the monster that nearly killed them until it's finally put to an end.

"Hey that man is approaching us! What should we do?!" Maurice screamed in panic.

"All of us suffered heavy damage. Thanks to Mavis we are being healed slowly but we are still laying on the ground because we doesn't have enough strength to to move." Ash said.

Alicia interrupted. "Just keep quiet, are you planning to fight that man? didn't you just saw how strong he is? Relax if he have an ill intentions towards us then he would just left us to die but he didn't"

Kira approached Mavis and when he came close to her he asked.

"Yo what's your name?"

"Ah? Mavis?

"Mavis huh, do you have a boyfriend?"

"Wha- no, I don't have a boyfriend, why? she asked in confusion

"Hmm, Then will you be my girlfriend?"

"Huhhh?!!"
