"Hurry up!! you brat!!"

Taehyung hurriedly brushed his teeth, not having enough time to take a shower because of his mistress's contant calls.

Taehyung had been adopted by this rich but arrogant family who treated him as a mere servant. The couple claimed to have found him alone in an abandoned hut and out of kindness, took him in without hesitation.

Well, that wasn't the whole truth.

The couple was fully aware of the fact that Taehyung was a male omega and knew they would gain a lot of profit if he was sold and therefore they took him in. So.. not genuinely kindness. Taehyung never knew about this, only the part of the story he was told.

He never really went out, and if he did, he would take in supressants to hide his scent from other alphas. He was past 18 but had still not found his mate, he thought that maybe fate had forgotten about him, maybe he was not meant to be mated? He didn't really care about it though.

Even after all this, he never complained but was thankful to them for letting him stay or else he wouldn't know where he'd be by then.

"On my way! Madam Lea" He yelled, sprinting over to the old woman who had her hands crossed over her chest.

"Get this mess cleaned this instant, the officials are visiting today and I want this place spotless. Understood!!!"

"Yes Madam Lea!"

He quickly wiped the glass table, placing stuff at their right places. The mistress had just said that the officials were visiting - one wrong move and that would be the end for him.

He sighed resting his head against the wall. "Why would they even be here, Madam Lea is not a Royal" He thought, gathering his stuff as he had finished his work. He took a quick bath, then laid back on his bed, exhausted but was suddenly woken up by a loud knock on his door.

"Kim Taehyung, the officials have arrived and I need you to be in your best attire, Do i make myself clear?" The old woman yelled, making Taehyung flinch in surprise.

"Yes Madam Lea"

Now Taehyung was generally confused. No servant was allowed in the presence of the king's officials, only those that have been summoned. "Have I been summoned? and why?" Another loud knock interrupted his thoughts and he scrambled up, searching through his closet.

Since the mistress never gave him proper clothes to wear, he just picked out an old t-shirt and black jeans. He quickly arranged his hair to look more presentable. He took deep breaths and smiled at himself in the mirror,

"Everything will be fine"

He hurriedly walked through the hallways and halted infront of a large door. He closed his eyes whispering a short prayer. "It's now or never!" He mumbled before carefully turning the knob oblivious to the fact that immediately he steps through that door, his life would change completely.
